Looks to me like Ben's arm is toast. He's like old Manning out there, only without the running game.
Get your eyes checked then. Did you not see his first TD pass tonight? Or is the INT the only thing you saw?

A corner, TWO linebackers, a tight end
Can you name one thing Tomlin has done wrong? Fichtner is Tomlins puppet, you think he doesn't have any say in whats going on?

Yeah, mammoth 19 yard TD pass down the middle of the field. What the hell does that prove? He hasn't hit deep down the sideline since the start of the season.
Named more than a few things Tomlin has done wrong over the years (and recently). I'm not "All In For Tomlin" so that I don't see he makes mistakes. But, if I think a player is making mistakes, injured, not playing up to par, I'll call that out too. Take DeCastro for instance. I think and thought he was still playing injured when he came back. He wasn't pulling as much as in the past (still isn't) and wasn't moving people in the run game (only marginally better recently). Feiler at Guard has also been hit or miss each week. Dotson needed to be inserted earlier (and not because of injury). You know who I blame for Dotson not being inserted? HCMT ... his call ultimately.
hard to criticize Ben too much for lack of deep ball success when the deep passing game consists almost entirely of Ben throwing up a jump ball to Claypool down the right side when he's not even open. The Claypool doesn't make the play on the ball and occasionally get a PI call. That's the deep passing game now, hoping Claypool draws a penalty.
I'd be more concerned about Ben if he was missing open guys downfield. Let me know when there's an open guy.
That's what kills me, I watch games all Sunday and theres guys wide open on plays several times in each game, our wrs are never open like that.

You do a lot of blaming Tomlin and exonerating everyone else. Just an observation. Can you name one thing, just one, that Ben has done wrong? 'Cause I can name a few.
The crap that I have endured for being the guy to say this. It was obvious for years. Blame RF, but he is there because Tomlin won't do anything about it.
He talks about making the routine plays, not living in fears, standards being standards, etc. It's all talk.

Here is what Tomlin said. Makes it seem like its his idea to use the 3yrd passing attack.
"Coach Mike Tomlin said, explaining why the Steelers didn't stretch the field more. "The more snaps you get, the more opportunities you get to make some of the dynamic plays you suggested. It starts first with staying on schedule and possessing the ball, and we are not doing enough of that right now. That makes some of the other discussions more troublesome."
Maybe at least trying to stretch the field would lead to being able to possess the ball better??
The December collapse has begun again. Who is responsible?
Tomlin does get to share in some of that to be fair. He went with an inexperienced line coach, he went with Randy who was his buddy. He signed off on bringing Ebron in. He doesn't get all of the blame but he shares it sure.1. Ben's Knee
2. OL pass blocking ineptitude
3. OC Play calling
4. ILB/OL injuries
5. DJ/Ebron drops
6. Injury to K
7. Ray Ray forgetting how to return kicks
8. Coverage teams allowing 30-40yd returns constitantly
Take your pick.

It's on Ben. He needs to do a better job of getting this team ready to play. Can't believe he didn't make Tomlin throw that challenge flag last night on the fumble.
Ben needs to do a better job of making adjustments on the defensive side of the ball in the 2nd halves. Other teams are adjusting offensively and he's not adjusting accordingly.
Ben also needs to get this OL blocking again, whether that means changing the offensive scheme or just change of personnel.
Ben was in line for COY of the year up until last week, I thought but I think that's gone. We'll see what he can come up with this week for the Bengals.
Also, I hope Ben tells Tomlin to be careful on the sideline. There's a football game going on and he is at risk of getting hurt like what happened last night.

It is the HC job to get a team ready to play not a QBs.
