The Texas panhandle is on fire with new Covid cases.

I got the first Sputnik shot, the only one available, going back for the 2nd on the 24th. Better than nothing.

I also wear 2x masks everywhere I go, stay away from people, try to avoid taking public transportation. Hungary currently has the highest death rate per capita in the world. Nothing to write home about.

Besides the Russian one, Hun gov has been vaccinating elderly w chinese vacc w only 50%(!) efficiacy. My mother in law got both jabs weeks ago, thought she was safe & protected and is now lying in an ER Covid ward with pneumonia & lung embolism. My father in law also caught Covid after taking both shots, he hasn’t fallen that sick w it, but is having trouble breathing.

Got my first Moderna shot today. Walmart by my house is the only place you can get in. Guess many of the typical Ohio Walmart shoppers are not wanting the Gubmint chip injected in their arms. I know I am on the conservative side but their are idiots on both sides. It is one thing to be skeptical due to lack of testing but the crazy *** **** I here about chips and 5G shots. SMH.

Wrong. Key West has a mask mandate. As do the airlines. I wasn’t about to the Karen that you are. I wore a mask whenever I was indoors or in close proximity to others outdoors.

Last update (since I didn't post yesterday morning like I said).

The advil helped. On Saturday night, after I took some, I started feeling a bit better. Slept fine. Woke up Sunday morning pretty much 100%. Had a slight headache still, but I drank some coffee and had some more advil and the rest of Sunday I was fine.

Overall, nothing to worry about based on my experience with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Because it's one shot, it is a bit stronger than the others. And I expect almost everyone that takes it to have some flu-like symptoms in that 8-hour to 12-hour window after getting it. But it is nothing serious. Nothing a few advil/tylenol, rest and fluids can't deal with. And after a good night sleep, you will be back to normal almost for sure.

Just get the shot. Sign up through your state websites, wait for the notice they have one available and just go get it.

That's my recommendation.

Like Hutchinson County, probably the hardest hit in the Panhandle with a 9% test positivity increase...but a -11% hospitalization rate and ZERO deaths the past two weeks.

The direct attack was me referring to your kid that had Covid as your “Covid kid” which admittedly is as offensive as calling a Covid patient a “Covid patient” instead of the much less offensive “Patient that had Covid”.
