Covid Vaccine

Not entirely true. I am a government employee and I pay taxes just like you. So I've lost a few pennies.

You know, you guys have a lot of ideas about government employees, and most of them are wrong. I WISH my job was what you guys believe it to be. I'd be a lot happier, I'm sure of that.
Dipshit above (Tim) is correct.
We've all lost a few pennies (except Flog, who is making BANK on this pandemic, but not enough to become a contributor here, for some reason) under this. You, being a gubmint employee also pay taxes, but the gubmint does not have a gubmint laboratory or factory where they alone are creating and packaging the vax for delivery. All this **** is "free" at the moment. We've both been around the sun long enough to know nothing is "free" when it comes from our gubmint. My statement was more directed to elected officials and representatives who have called for and allowed shut downs, lockdowns, and moratoriums that have cost taxpayers paychecks, ruined lives and ended some while they themselves have not had even a minute impact in their finances.

Still small numbers...but this is an age group that doesn't need these vaccines IMHO.
...and these are only the deaths reported into the system mind you. The College my Son is attending is releasing it's non-vaccinated protocols tomorrow and we'll see just how difficult they plan to make it on non-vaccinated students. Meanwhile, their Professors do NOT have to get the vaccine even though they are part of the age demographic that needs it the most. Totally insane world these libtards live in.

Read somewhere that Pfizer expects to make 15 billion off their vaccine, and of course everyone will require boosters.

Okay. Without getting into the benefits bestowed - just looking purely at the cost/benefit side of things (don't get excited, Ark): You cost the taxpayer 90, return 12 in taxes.

That's known as a cost to the taxpaying public.

Private citizens cost the taxpayer nothing, return 5 in taxes.

That's known as a benefit to the taxpaying public.

Don't dispute what you're saying as to you.

You work with a lot of other government employees. I have worked with a lot of government employees. Too many, IMO. Overall, what's your opinion of the other government employees you work with?

Now you are using the Massachusetts math you railed on yesterday. "But, but, but Tim it's still only a dozen cases"

Now you point to the US going from 197 cases one day to 330 and scream OMG!!! Show me a trend, I'll pay attention. Let's focus on 14 days. Because you are calling our levels rising cases. Track from June 18 when we were at 392 deaths. Yesterday was 330. Despite tiny ups and downs in those numbers, deaths have remained flat.

We have averaged 256 deaths per day for nearly a month with ups and downs from 392 to 104, but you're chanting deaths are rising. Yep. SMH.

“SMH”? It’s a 14 day average, Tim.

You are either in denial or are just naive to think that hospitalizations and deaths won’t rise after cases have been rising since June 20th.

We’re a year and half into this thing, how are you still oblivious to the progression?

Thanks for admitting that you are an eradication ideologue. You believe we can get rid of COVID and until we do, you will want to force mankind to live under these draconian rules for a virus that is the flu for those of us working age or under.

Scary.

I'll take the extremely rare chance of death from COVID over injecting vaccines that are more dangerous than all other vaccines combined.

Oblivious is still believing that COVID kills at the rate it did last year. Oblivious is not realizing treatments have improved, thus the fatality rates have dropped. Fewer people die of COVID now than they did then. Oblivious is believing that with a moderate increase in cases, deaths will rise in proportion when we now know better how to treat the disease.

Yeah, Tiblio posted a Tweet about this yesterday. I said I found it hard to believe. Not that it may not be true, it may be. But given 324 people in the 18 and under age group have died from COVID TO DATE, 100% of which had comorbidities, it's a bit hard to believe in one medical system this number of children are in ICU.

Could be. If so, I'd it's an anomaly.

Maybe there is something in the water like in Flint, MI.

Meanwhile, the # of counties with no cases in the country continues to rise.

Strawman. Where did I say it will kill at the same rate? It will kill, deaths will increase. Moderate increase in cases? So Tim, if I’m oblivious, where is Covid heading? I know, I know, you refuse to go on record. You know you’re full of bullshit denial.

That's disheartening to hear (and pretty scary). Would like to know what ages and other circumstances, but 2 on life support - that's terrible.

You said hospitalizations and deaths would rise. While factual, highly misleading. Cases may go up. Deaths will not go up proportionally. The minimal rise in cases is 6.4x the increase in deaths.

The fear is overblown.

And as I said, if so, it is an anomaly. It doesn't fit the pattern. COVID has not harmed our children. If this was happening in a dozen hospital systems, then you would have a point. As I also said, perhaps there is something in the water.

Meanwhile, would you like to revisit South and North Dakota? Lots of white space (no cases reported)

Are we surprised that elected officials are lying and pushing false data? I mean....it's only been happening for over a year. 10 kids on life support, 2..."what difference does it make?" The Federal Gubmint reported an 11,000 deaths discrepancy in New York's COVID deaths reporting...eh...it's just 11,000, "what difference does it make?"

I'm sure @Troglodyte won't have much to say about this misleading, false reporting.

And ***** like Cuomo who killed thousands of elderly, lied, and infected countless healthcare workers is still running NY

Here is the link to the data. I downloaded the full spread sheet, sorted it by those who died and removed those who didn't die. Then, I sorted by age.

VAERS Data
What is the source of this link? I haven't looked at it yet, just curious. I don't like to download stuff from unknown sources.

So 10 kids in ICU is no big deal?

My son was in ICU for a week as a baby with asthma, never on a ventilator because they do their damndest not to put babies on ventilators if they can help it, he was on oxygen, cpap, they had to do some crazy helium mix to keep him off the vent. We didn't know if he was going to make it. But I guess as long as he wasn't on life support, no biggie.

I live in a county where 80% of eligible people are fully vaccinated. Our positivity rate is under 1%. People aren't getting sick or going to the hospital with covid. Life is basically back to normal. Can't for the life of me understand why some of you don't want that. It's bizarre to me. To each his own I guess.

Any kid in ICU is a big deal.

Sharing stories that say 10 kids are on life support, then changing it to 2 are on life support is deceptive.

To use words you have used, the vast majority of kids are safe from COVID. Kids die. Only 324 out of 74.2Million have died from COVID. Sharing stories about a handful of kids on life support (as false as the stories were portrayed) as if to indicated all kids are at grave risk from COVID is false. Kids are safe from COVID.

We had an agency employee work for 3 days with symptoms and she lied on the daily covid screening check in. Now another employee and a resident have it. The resident had the vaccine and i believe had covid previously. Luckily as of now he only has a low fever and a little congestion. I don't see covid going away any time soon. Vaccine / natural antibodies are only lasting a few months it seems. It is just a matter of how people are going to deal with it

In contrast, North Dakota is only 39% vaccinated. 22 of their 53 counties have reported no incidences of COVID. They have been averaging 1-2 deaths a day since February. As a state, they are up to 21 cases a day, a slight increase. Hospitalizations are down 11%.

Twenty one cases.

Life there is back to normal.

Once again, you work in the most bizarre place on earth apparently.

Second, studies around the globe are showing that natural antibodies are lasting.
