Because the masks don't do dick. A bunch of kids half *** wearing some cross contaminated rags all day everyday, is actually more productive in catching ****.

Not sure if this has been posted, but wow. To make matters worse, the hospital health system came out defending what they said, that those who heard what they....literally heard...were conspiracy theorists spreading misinformation.

The viral video features the director of marketing, a doctor who served as the former Chief of Medical Staff for New Hanover Regional Medical Center, talking about what information related to coronavirus the hospital shares with the public.

The doctor, Mary Rudyk, said she feels the hospitals messaging needs to be "a little more scary for the public."

“I think we have to be more blunt, we have to be more forceful, we have to say something coming out, you know you don’t get vaccinated, you know you’re going to die. I mean, let’s just be really blunt to these people.”

I live in the Pittsburgh Metro. We are supposed to be a hot Delta area.

I know no one with the illness. My kid's school is back to normal, with masks, for the past 2 weeks.. No breakout. Went to their football game last Friday with a couple of other thousand peeps. No masks. Most places I go are back to normal. Except Giant Eagle.

What am I to make of this? What the news says, or what I see?

There's a Market District by Giant Eagle here. I was there on Saturday. The sign says masks not required for the vaccinated, which I identify as when it's convenient for me. Like it was that day.

Also, my grocery tab was about 20% higher than normal for pretty much the same stuff. Thanks Xiden!
 
I spend most of my time in the mountains of northern AZ, but my wife has a few appointments in the Phoenix area, prompting us to drive down yesterday.
Take out was in order for dinner, so I drove a few blocks to pick it up. What surprised me was the large percentage of people wearing masks made from old sweat pants again, even in the parking lots. The fear mongering is apparently working once again. Tomorrow morning, I'm outta here.

This new requirement — called the Key to NYC — also means staff at these locations must be vaccinated.
