Ben....the easy scapegoat.

Meh.....when the coaches call a 60 plus pass day you don't blame the QB. Especially when you know he isn't at the point in his career that he can carry the team on his back as in years pass. He needs help from other players. Like the guys up front first of all. And then the guys catching the ball. 60 plus passes. Unfucking believable. Yep. Ben's fault. ******* idiots on this board.

Who threw the 2 INTs yesterday??? Rudy???

Lol. Ben simply our BEST QB on our roster. You are bitching about Ben's decision making and I guess you suppose Mason would have done better. Meh.... I remember you advocating for Haskin to start. That says everything there.

Very true but 7 threw a ball right to that Bengals LB. What was he looking at? Also it irritates the **** out of me when he is outside the pocket and takes a sack. Throw the ball away!
Harris ran the ball at least 11 times in the first half. Ended the game with 14 carries. Ben has fault in this game.....but the coaches job is to put their players in the best position to win....having your 39 year old QB throwing 60 plus times isn't on Ben.

And I still feel that way. WTF is gonna happen if we bring them up??? We lose? WE"RE DOING THAT WITH BEN ON THE FIELD!!!

He simply didn't see the guy. He was visually shielded. Definitely a couple times he should have thrown it away though.

one was because his arm was hit, the other was one of the stupidest decisions ever
Oh, I'm not blaming Ben on the first one (fully) he still could have just 'taken the sack', but not Ben, he has to make the play...

Yeah, changed my mind, I'm blaming Ben for both.

I wasn't going to drink today but Stillwright got my gander up (not his fault)...

Why start any of our best players than? Why sign Watt? Why ....Because Ben gives us the best option to win....you know...what the entire point on Sunday is. It's why you sign Watt long term. Fitzpatrick next year. To win. Ben is our best option at QB.

Keep telling yourself that. Reality showed Ben is too old, too slow and takes too long to make decisions now.

The OL is not making any of that any easier for him and each game takes a few extra healthy days off his life because of all the hits he's been taking.

If we lose to GB - why keep Ben out there to get lambasted???

Nobody on this board wants to see Ben go out this way after a great career here. I was hoping if he came back for his 18th season it would be handled similar to how Elway and Manning went out at the end of their Careers. Strong running game behind a solid OL where they didn’t have to carry their team any longer. The Broncos relied on the experience they had and didn’t make them put the ball up 40 to 50 times per game. Heavy running teams, plenty of play action, control the game clock. And both teams had strong defenses too.
What we’ve done to Ben is put him behind an inexperienced OL that’s getting him beat the hell out of and telling him to throw 50-60 passes per game. The man is scared to death back there and afraid of getting seriously injured so he’s dumping the ball off on the first read. Whose ****** up idea was it to think that this plan could have worked?
Meanwhile goofy Tomlin refuses to even play Watt at FB to help create a seam for Najee.
I feel bad for Ben that he’s been put in this situation. The man is slow, can’t escape the rush eluding tackles like in his younger years, does not have the same accuracy he once had to be throwing the ball as much as he has. He should be behind a solid OL at this stage of his career, not a bunch of green kids, a journeyman who stinks and Chucks who should be on the bench. Shameful’

Too old to make decisions....lol. Good luck with Mason or Haskins in that area with a decent OL yet with the one we have now. Again. We keep Ben out there if he is healthy enough to play. Simply because he is our best option by far. The reason we brought him back. As I stated in other threads. I wish Ben retired after last season. He is here though.

We don't have the answer on our roster, including those of you who think Haskins is it. That's pie in the sky dreaming. I saw the guy play in person at Ohio State. I said then, he doesn't have NFL talent. He played HS ball 6 miles from me. He was a great college QB. He is not the answer. Nor is Mason.

Ben is our best option rn period, as much as it pains some of you, I'm sorry.

I would love to be wrong on Haskins. But I'm not. I'm willing to bet on it.

Sit all our starters. What can happen? We lose? Is it any worse than yesterday?

You. haven't watched the last 2 years? Same pathetic offense now for 20 games....He is the QB....His fault...PERIOD

If anyone thinks Ben shouldn't take the blame for his decision-making then they're wrong! No midrange passes. No audibles out of stupid play calls.

I'm so disappointed in Coach Canada and Ben. Coach Tomlin needs to makes some changes NOW!!!
I think you can definitely put some blame on Canada and Roethlisberger. But who’s the head coach? Maybe Tomlin can make a change by owning up to his own failures and resigning himself. I mean what other coach has had a first ballot hall of fame QB his entire 14+ year career and only have 1 ring to show. And that ring was with the previous coaches team and defensive coordinator.

Clearly you missed my demand for Coach Tomlin to make change now...

I'm sure Mike T is in the lab as we speak, turning stones. He's been doing that for years now.

Unfortunately or FORTUNATELY he made his living looking down field and extending plays, hard to change that style / mentality. He made MANY A MANY GREAT plays in doing so so I guess he is paying the piper so to speak.............

Salute the nation

And what’s really on display now is the Tomlin MO of all we have to do is show up because we’re the Pittsburgh Steelers; we’re gonna do what we do, and that’s that. No changes, little to no adjustments, nothing new. Hell, we’re still watching lb’ers get isolated on wideouts ALL THE ******* TIME even though Keenan Allen torched our ***** four ******* years ago. That’s why we’re seeing NOTHING being done to this oline, whether bringing in another body, or putting one of their ***** on the bench. It’s the “this is who we are, and that’s what it’s gonna be.” ****, he even said something along the lines of “I’m not making changes because these guys need to struggle together.” Meanwhile, Ben is being steamrolled every which way but loose, whether on the field, or in the ******* media. Consider this: Tyler ******* Boyd just called out the whole team saying they quit yesterday. Let’s see what kind of hell Tomlin is ready to unleash this Sunday.
