Assuming we lose to Green Bay, it’s basically a forgone conclusion that this team is not making the playoffs. So why would we not use the remainder of the season to conclude whether Mason Rudolph is even potentially Ben’s successor?? The worst-case scenario is actually the desirable scenario in-fact; We lose more games and get a higher draft pick. Best-case scenario; Mason takes some licks from the toughest schedule in the NFL and actually holds his own. Tell me this doesn’t make all the sense in the world…

Don’t be stupid. Mason hasn’t had the opportunity to play with a decent group. He was drafted to replace Ben and he should get a fair shot. At this point, he can’t possibly be worse than what Ben is puking onto the gridiron…

Exactly! At this point, with the OL we have and the receivers with dropsy, he wouldn't be getting anywhere close to a fair shot. That said, he is not the future.

yes he can he is even less mobile than Ben

Mason Rudolf doesn't have half the Football IQ as Ben, half the arm talent....even at Ben's age, a quarter of Ben's toughness and elusiveness in the pocket, and an 1/8th of presence on the field as Ben...but you ******* want to start him cause...cause...well...cause...He isn't Ben?

Put down the Doobie and let go of the computer mouse. Eat your Cheetos and head up to bed. you ******* are delusional.

I'm so glad the owners don't let fans run the team.
You mean they don't read our board? ****, next you'll be telling me there's no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny.

Mason Rudolph is on the team for a reason. He is WAY more mobile than Ben is now and will get rid of the ball immediately to a receiver, unlike Ben who gets rid of it immediately to a running back or the other team. Ben is a Hall of Fame QB and will always be an all-time great Steeler but all he is going to do for us this year is win 2 or 3 more games than Mason and cost us possibly getting rhe QB we need in the draft. If you don’t get that, you don’t know **** about this game and league.

You’re a bunch of ******* idiots. Joe Burrow is on fire tonight. Bengals are 3-1 and out 39-year old QB had a QB rating of 35. Yeah let’s keep Ben in there…. Dumbasses….

Let's look at it rationally or at least the way the front office does. If they loose this weekend, they are not throwing in the "terrible towel." They didn't sign BB to sit even if things are bad, if they thought Rudolph could step in and lead us to the playoffs, Ben would be home.

If the following 8 weeks turn into a win or two or if Ben gets injured, go ahead and let Rudy play.

By the way, Colbert and Tomlin need to evaluate allot of people if the season continues as is.

I'm sure some players do... Everyone gets hired and fired, demoted and promoted inside of a season. Throw in some lousy games and all hell breaks loose.

Oh they're going to get their backup qb wet dream filled soon enough if the line doesn't start blocking better.

Then we can eat popcorn and watch the fire.

I am two fold on this discussion. At times I am like Ben should be sat the offense could use a spark. But then I think of what is behind Ben. Not the mobile QBs that I look around the league and see QBs extending plays. I don't think that is on the roster. If you have a hand of cards full of fail and you shuffle it, well you won't be magically winning the card game. The only real play is to tweak the Oline. With Rudy his one big weakness seems to be threading the needle in the RedZone where you have to be accurate and fit the ball in tight windows. So as he is moving the ball you are left with INTs or a bunch of field goals. Just not a good approach IMO to ride with him. The Oline might get Ben killed by mid season so this convo might soon be a mute point if Tomlin isn't playing his cards right. Do the team a favor tweak the Oline now.

What organization would that be? I thought we owned Rudy... Did he escape again? Ahhh ****, we're going to have to find another backup, dang.....Has anyone got a dime? Someone'd gonna have to go get a shitload of dimes...
