You shouldn't brag one way or another. The vaccine helps limit your chances of catching it, getting gravely sick or dying from it. It's not foolproof, it's not guaranteed. It gives you a fighting chance.

The "fighting chance" comes from each individual's immune system, and the lack of comorbidities or unlucky genetics. (or, in Utter Pradesh, from a concerted treatment plan)

The Covid flu shot provides an attempt to mitigate the negative effects of the virus, on exposure, rather than eradicating it. This means that other treatments and prophylactics are strategically and tactically important, regardless of vaxxed or not.

The multivariate approach to solving the virus issue and the clear unknowns and unknown unkowns is both necessary and indicative of the need for cost/benefit analysis of all factors. One size does not fit all.

Believing otherwise requires faith in both government and pharma. While you may have climbed that hill based on your personal situation, it is beyond wrong that you continue to advocate one final solution.

Completely lost on you is the damage done and that the policies have shifted.

As of October it’s expected that somewhere around 75% of the population will have gotten at least one vaccine shot… they have lowered the fully vaccinated number down to 51 or 52% right now

(The dip we saw in “ fully vaccinated “ numbers is probably due to a reclassification of what constitutes fully vaccinated over 65 and not a bunch of vaccinated dying)

So out of 1,000,000 people 250,000 are not vaccinated at all, but 480,000 are counted as such while some are waiting for the second dose +14 days.

14% of the country is considered black . Only 12% of that group have gotten any vaccines at all
So of the aforementioned 1,000,000 where 250k are without the vaccines, about 124k of that are considered in the black populace.

Therefore roughly half of all true unvaccinated are black…

*multiply those numbers by whatever current US population number you feel best about to extrapolate out total numbers…ie *330 million or *350 million ect

Yeah but to be completely open about the ethnicity data, only 60% of people disclose ethnicity so some places estimated numbers at adjusted levels so his 30% number could be close to right

Though the flip side of that is that white people are overwhelmingly less likely to disclose ethnicity and black people are traditionally more likely to disclose it… so that estimate is probably off a lot

No. 68% of the adult population is fully vaccinated right now and 77% have had one dose.

The agency said 193,798,688 of adults have had at least one shot, while 165,947,460 people, or 64.3% of the adult population, are fully vaccinated.

That was as of September 7, 24 days ago. The updated figures are 77% and 68% as I noted. (Funny thing ... getting the data as to the percentage of adults vaccinated is much, much more difficult to find than it was six months ago. Wonder why.)

The problem is and has been that for some reason - i.e., Covid fear porn - those tossing out vaccination rates inexplicably refer to the percent of the TOTAL POPULATION vaccinated, not the eligible population or more relevant by far, the ADULT population. That is because the hospitalization and mortality rates for those under 18 are so low as to be basically negligible.
