For many years, I'd have brief interaction with Steelerfan81 when I'd thank him for running the site as I re-upped my yearly contribution. On *one* occasion a couple of years ago, I brought up the disgusting, violent meme some ******* posted here with a blood-splattered front of a semi-truck, suggesting that's how to deal with protestors. That crossed the line not just on this board, but on any board. Of course nobody here batted an eye at it, as it's part of the MAGA ecosystem.

If I have a problem with any of you brain-dead knuckle-draggers, I simply tell it to your face. As I have in numerous posts where I've told you and others you can **** right off.

Well, my company has issued a vaccine mandate for continued employment. Per them, being a Fed. contractor we must abide by mandates for the stabby and if you are not vaccinated, and don't have a religious or medical exemption by Dec. 8th you will be considered as "resigned" from (company).

This goes even further by stating "fully vaccinated" meaning if you don't get the shots at least 2 weeks prior to the 8th you aren't considered fully vaccinated and will therefore be "resigned".

They are calling this a "choice". I'm calling it coercion.

There will be quite a few long time employees that I know of that will be walking out the door on that date...........or sooner.

I also have to say that I loathe calling it a vaccine when it is more like the flu shot. This whole mandate thing is ridiculous. I'm not against the shots or anything like that, but I am against the govt. pushing this like they are.

Healthcare shortage set to strike Democrat states​

Maine hospital suspends pediatric, heart attack, trauma admissions

A Maine hospital has suspended pediatric, heart attack and trauma admissions amid concern it could face staffing shortages when a Covid vaccination mandate goes into effect later this month.

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston will assess and stabilize any patients who arrive at the emergency room and then divert them to another facility if they need to be admitted.

The hospital said it has already temporarily closed its neonatal intensive care unit in case of staff shortages when Democratic Gov. Janet Mills’ Covid vaccine mandate takes effect at the end of the month.

While a majority of the hospital staff is already vaccinated, more than 250 employees have not submitted their vaccination records as of Friday.. Of those 250 staffers, 170 have roles that directly deal with patients.

My friend threatened the same thing (along with other co-workers). The school district then said "Okay, bye" (this is NY). And she was forced to take the shot. She's worked there over 20 years and said she didn't have much of a choice. When it comes down to putting essentially a sketchy substance into your body (efficacy, tenability, potential long-term side effects etc.) and the well-being of you and your family, more often than not you're going with the latter option. Sad state of affairs though.

At my company we have 10,000 + people. They sent out a survey of how many would get it if it was mandatory, and the results must have not been what they wanted. We will not be mandated to get it.. By the way I’m not against it , but it’s a personal choice. I got it back in March for a mission trip out of the country.
