Wrong. Vaccines prevent spread (these do not) AND death/serious illness (these do but only an an ever-increasing sliding scale).
These vaccines faily massively on preventing spread. They have dropped significantly in preventing serious illness. The need for boosters validates all of this...in addition to the CEOs of these companies saying they have waned, the CDC saying they no longer prevent spread, and hundreds of studies supporting the above.

J&J's efficacy against spread now is 3%.

Most novel methodology vaccines took ten to twenty years to get approved before this… five was the minimum for a known methodology with new material.. but five gives you a basic idea of long term effects at least…

Pitt was developing something similar early on. It's a bunch of tiny microneedles on a patch. The advantage is you don't need syringes or vials so it's cheaper to ship and easier to store. The size of a small bandaid. Pretty cool. Not sure if this is the same thing or not.

Polio, you say? The Polio vaccine was only 90% effective after two doses and full vaccination was after four or five doses, and it took four decades before Polio was considered to be eradicated. There’s your science and history lesson for the day. Maybe we should call the Polio vaccine a “shot”?

You don't understand the history of the vaccine well then. Compare then v now.
Polio vaccines were tested from 1935-1963, nearly 30 years.
Covid vaccines were developed in less than 12 months.
There wasn't a global eradication program against polio until the 1980s.
There is a global Covid eradication program underway now. In less than a year from disease inception.
It wasn't until 1988 that the WHO called for the vaccines' use globally.
Both the Salk and Sabin polio vaccines "stopped" the spread of all strains of the polio virus. Stopped. All. Strains.
These Covid vaccines do not stop the spread of Covid, and perform worse against new strains.
Covid vaccines given to hundreds of millions of people overnight.
It took literally decades to distribute/administer polio vaccines.
If it weren't for apples and oranges existing, you'd have no comparisons to offer.

You use the percentages of veterans 65+ years of age. You conveniently ignore the 84%, 82% and 73% among younger veterans that are more similar in age to those in the in the clinical trials that produced the 90-95% efficacy.
