Why do we have more cases/deaths in the USA this year then? The vaccines being WONDER DRUGS and all, having been pumped into 80% of Americans since January.

The Cotton Mathers in the media rejoiced today in the death of a man they consider a sinner.
The Washington Post headlined it, "Marcus Lamb, head of Daystar, a large Christian network that discouraged vaccines, dies after getting covid-19."
NBC reported, "Anti-vaccine Christian broadcaster Marcus Lamb dies at 64 after contracting covid."
CBS reported, "Marcus Lamb, head of televangelist network that spreads covid misinformation, dies of covid 19."
The CBS headline is misinformation. The story said he died of diabetes. Given his age and co-morbidity, he likely should have taken the vaccine, but it was his decision.
Compare that headline to this CBS headline, "Colin Powell, first black secretary of state, dies at 84 from covid 19 amid cancer battle."
That is fairer and more accurate because he was vaccinated. Lamb's vaccination status is not publicly known, but the media implied he wasn't. OK. That's news. But if you are going to mention the vaccine status of one group, mention the vaccine of the other. Leave it up to the readers and viewers to decide. When Roger Ailes ran Fox, its motto was We Report, You Decide.
That is journalism. These Cotton Mathers should try it and leave the blogging to us.
These itty bitty headline writers and the like get to feel self-righteous about a man who spread the word of the Lord and saved thousands if not millions of souls. Televangelists are an easy target. A few are phonies, and Satan got to Jim Bakker and Tammy Faye.
And the media that mocks them does the devil's work.
But when critiquing the media, you have to review not only what they say but what they don't say. And WaPo, NBC, CBS, and the rest don't say much about vaccinated young people keeling over and dying. They are rare but they are enough to cause concern.
Local media reports on such cases occasionally.
For example, Clark County Today reported on November 15, "Seventeen-year-old Washington female dies from heart attack weeks after receiving second Pfizer vaccination."
The story, which did not name her, said, "A 17-year-old female from Washington died from cardiac arrest 36 days after having received her second Pfizer vaccination. She becomes the third known person found in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) to possibly have died from a covid-19 vaccine. According to information in the report, she had recovered from a symptomatic but not severe case of covid-19 in August."
Hmm.
Might she have been better off trusting natural immunity?
Vaccines are medicines and we must be careful taking medicine. I avoid annual flu shots and rarely take an aspirin. I turned down a prescription for statins. On the other hand, I have for 22 years taken a daily medication for one condition and I am vaccinated against covid. My body, my choice.
The vaccines were supposed to go only to the most vulnerable groups. Biden's mandate that everyone be vaccinated is loony and will not stop the spread of the virus any more than masks and social distancing did.
Marcus Lamb deserved more in death than the chortling from the Fourth Estate. He was not a sinner. He was a man who questioned taking experimental vaccines. He wanted more proof that they work. Questioning what we assume is called science.
Enjoying his death from diabetes is called evil.
But trashing a Christian who got covid only accelerates the fall of Corporate Media.
Writing about Chris Christie's book which bombed -- selling only 2,289 copies after weeks of fawning interviews -- John Nolte noted, "Christie’s failure to sell his book is also one more lesson in the corporate media’s fading influence. After all, it wasn’t only Christie who failed to sell copies; it was also the once-mighty media behemoth."
Hunters of witches beware. Cotton Mather paid a price for his witch hunts. Harvard passed him over as president when his father, Increase Mather, retired from the post.

Thats literally the case, despite mounds of evidence to the effectiveness of it as an antiviral… Ivermectin is 2 bucks a pill more or less for safe human pills… you can get a bottle of them for 37 bucks at some locations… the new covid pills are being bought by countries at $500…

You know, based on what scientists and doctors in SA are saying, this version is very, very mild in comparison to Delta. They've seen no serious illness at this point. So, it's different in that regard too. It is similar, though, in that the "vaccines" don't seem to prevent contracting or spreading the virus.

Let's hope so. I read it may take two weeks or so for lab tests to determine what this is all about and how it reacts to current vaccines.

If this thread has taught me anything, it's how many different ways people can argue about the same thing. On some levels, it's incredible.
But anyway........
These vaccines are not really vaccines. They reduce severity of the illness and reduce chances of death. To me, that sounds more like a therapeutic. More troubling to me, is that the CDC actually changed the definitions of both vaccine and immunity in an effort to cover for the emerging failures of their "vaccine." Even more troubling than that is how quickly people jumped right on board, claiming that no vaccines ever conferred immunity(nonsense), and that these "vaccines" were never meant to do more than reduce severe illness and reduce chances of death(more nonsense). All of which is total and complete horse hockey. If these vaccines were only ever meant to reduce severity of illness and reduce chances of death and not prevent the spread of COVID or even deaths from COVID, someone needs to explain how 100% vaccination ends the pandemic.

Well, to my knowledge, there are three Omicron cases in America. All three people were fully vaccinated. Anecdotal evidence at the very best, sure. But at this point, Omicron is batting 1000 against the shots.
Maybe Trog or Tibs can help you with that.

The new COVID variant may have been in Europe first, weeks ago. No reports of melted faces in Europe (likely the result of white privilege) but doctors in South Africa reported finding the variant. Those reports that South Africa caused countries around the globe to go into an all-to-familiar chicken little routine. The sky didn’t fall but travel from the “rainbow country” was halted.
The media reported that cases doubled in South Africa – IN ONE DAY! Doubled! PANIC! But while media and governments panicked, in the back of the room, South African doctors were raising hands to add more science stuff – like, available evidence indicates that the new variant is more transmissible but symptoms appear to be mild. How mild? Like, a cold mild. But that doesn’t mean stop the panic – PANIC!
With COVID, legacy media has one job and that job is to ensure more, PANIC! The editor of the Atlantic Nick Thompson (thankfully no relation) is an example. He tweeted his own PANIC warning notwithstanding that doctors were reporting mild reactions to omicron:
Thompson interviewed the new CEO of Twitter. Thompson a fan of the new thought cop dictator.
Back to today’s panic…
The Hill’s warning lede this morning:
“Previous infection used to protect against delta and how with omicron it doesn’t seem to be the case.”
You can get COVID (omicron version) even if you’ve had COVID. PANIC! Wait… Isn’t that the case, with every variant? Kinda like, the flu?
Well, yeah – but it’s more transmissible! PANIC!
Ok, I just read the whole article. It doesn’t mention that South African doctors report mild symptoms and, I didn’t read a word about any increase in deaths or hospitalizations. It sounds like, if you’re gonna get COVID, maybe this is the variant you want?

I’m not suggesting that omicron won’t melt your face off. Maybe it will. I might get vaporized by a meteor today, but omicron seems more likely to give people with natural immunity and vaccinated folks a case of the chills. I’m sick of the panic porn. This new version of panic is like the old version of panic just with a different and scarier name. I might not be immune, but I have mild symptoms. They include some eye-rolling, and a desire to burn a cotton mask.

Compare the vaccines to their vaccine peers, not to the total number of doses given.
You’re the one trying to make a point that goes against what conventional wisdom says is safe and what health officials advise, Tim.
How about you compare car accident fatalities to bicycle fatalities and then come back and declare you will no longer use a car as a means of travel because, by comparison, they’re dangerous!

There have been 265 million confirmed Covid cases. Millions vs billions, 1 vs 1,000. Plenty of low lying fruit for Covid to spread. What don’t you get about that?
When you toss about these forms of word salads, you're done. We have data, a lot of it, yet still only a small portion of it. They undeniably show these vaccines are the most dangerous vaccines to be used on mankind. That's why 30% of healthcare workers still are not vaccinated.
