He is experienced. Needs the cash. Knows the opponent. Get off the white horse. That will get you nothing. He made a mistake. His wife wants to move on. The league said he can move on. You cannot trot out those two from last night. There is no chance either would play if Bell wasn't hurt. I'd easily put in Rice for a couple series. Ask yourself what would the Pats do? And what would the media say? Great move!!!!!. To anyone who would have a problem with this. Grow up.

why not Ben Tate?

...dumbest **** I've heard on this board this year! We go with who we have, it's playoff time, understand?

Ahhh, NO! (15 chars)

Are you ******* kidding me? All the positive mojo this team has going right now and you want to bring this jamoke in? All the baggage he would bring is not worth what he would bring to the table as a player. Combine that with the fact that he hadn't played a down all year so he's not in football shape and is no where near ready to play play-off football. Adrian Peterson, maybe... But no way I bring Rice on right now.

No. 1.) He is not in football shape, or anything close to it. The entire post season will be over before he ever is. 2.) PR problems. 3.) Will cause distractions we don't need. Every player will be asked their opinion of how they feel about adding him to the team. Disaster without any upside whatsoever. It's not like he knows secrets that the team doesn't already know. This team is no stranger to the Ravens. All down side, no up side.

1. There will be no time to ask. They play Saturday.
2. How do you know what shape he is in.
3. Did you see those two play last night. You are going to get two fumbles minimum.

4. He didn't play all that well last year.

Signing Rice would create a huge media event and likely a distraction.

Ain't gonna happen.

This. I don't care if he is at the pinnacle of his career, you can't afford to wreck the chemistry of this team with the baggage that comes along with him.

Has nothing to do with real football chemistry. Never heard anything about him in the locker room. Chemistry won't matter after Saturday 8 they lose.

I saw nothing last nite to suggest fumbles. Rice would be a big time distraction. Oline take it upon yourselves to blast people off the ball wont matter who totes the rock.

Adrian Peterson, maybe... But no way I bring Rice on right now.

AP can't sign till March or April - a little too late for our needs

one game, baby! one game

Do it!

Ray Rice to be Reinstated and Will Sign with Pittsburgh Steelers

SNS - The National Football League announced today that Ray Rice will be reinstated.

Rice has been battling the NFL for reinstatement for the past few weeks and he has finally achieved his goal. After reinstatement Rice’s agent was immediately contacted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have wanted another strong running back with a menacing personal history in their rotation for some time. It looks like they’ve gotten just what they were looking for.

Coach Mike Tomlin states “You know it really helps to have a few convicts on the team. Guys that can really scare the piss outta ya. Nobody wants to go head to head with a crazy wife beating monster and that’s just why we wanted Ray on the team. Ain’t nobody gonna mess with him.”

The sum total of the Steelers belief in these two guys over the past 5 games since Cheech walked is less than 15 carries including last night when they had no choice and you could clearly see they didn't feel comfortable in the play calling. You can talk about chemistry till it comes out your ***. There is no chemistry in playing a guy you don't believe in. What makes me believe they will fumble? Harris has 9 carries and on two of them including one last night he had trouble taking the ball and it was completely exposed. I'm confident I could win a wrestling match with Archer for the ball and that isn't an exaggeration or hyperbole. I really believe I could. The word on NFL.com is Bell is fine but won't play. No way they go into that game with these two. So if there is a better fit out there OK. Otherwise I go with Rice FOR SURE. And if you would rather lose, you are dumb. And you live in some fantasy world where you believe you cheer for the GOOD GUYS and hope they beat the BAD GUYS.

Also, to beef up the linebacking corps, I know a guy they should take a stab at.

I know one thing, we've come too far to lose the season now. And let's be real, if Bell doesn't play then Ben's throwing on every down. The current RBs would do nothing and Rice would still be better even at 50%. I'm not really for Rice either but if it helps us advance one week then I'm all for whatever the team decides. But even if they don't go in his direction they need to bring someone in. A veteran no matter who it is.

Just stop...stop. Go find something to do until Saturday night.

Your posting in this thread makes me think you know absolutely zero about the Steeler organization or the Rooney family. Seriously.
