Let the Mocks begin.......

gross, bermuda, just gross.

Based on the trades that Khan has done thus far, I don't think teams are using that value chart much anymore. There are too many variables to trades, who the player they are trading up for is, how badly they want him, is the team immediately following going to take said player. I think the value chart is just a launching point in the negotiations.

When we traded up for Jones, we were pick 17, a 950 value. Traded up to 14, a 1100 value. Gave them the 17 and 120 pick for a total value of 1054. And the reasoning we got behind it was that Belichick was fine with taking less to screw over the Jets who were rumored to be looking at Jones for their pick. So the value chart isn't a set in stone thing.

In my mocks I've gotten trade offers that were 31, 63, and 66 from KC based on who was there, and also trades that were 31, and a 2nd in 2026 for 21 and 229. I know they are just mocks, but it's more than just arbitrary values placed on picks that MUST add up to the same value.

Draft value charts are generic guidelines... if a team has a high first round grade on an available player, they will overbid ... conversely if a team has several evenly graded players available, but no real equivalent values for where tgey are drafting, they may be willing to trade back a bit for less... like NE did when we drafted BJones..

No trades, and this includes some sleeper picks that I think could be steals for whoever ends up with them.

Royals is the type of WR that can do it all, one of the better WR in the class that isn't getting the press of the others. CJ West, he's not your typical 330+ lb NT, but at 315, he's bigger than Benton who we have at NT, and plays with great leverage in both the run and pass game. He would allow Benton to slide over and play a more natural position for him. Ingram-Dawkins is raw but SUPER athletic, at his size if he can develop, look out! And Phil Mafah, 230lb bruiser back, that will surprise you with speed you don't think he has.

I didn't like not getting a CB in this draft, but I feel like with the DBs we've signed, the FO will consider this position good. I disagree, but ... Anyway, that 2026 Titans 2nd round pick will be gold.

Exactly my thoughts with my last mock. Even with the DL signings, they might not double dip like we all hope they do.

If JPJ and Trice continue to improve, our outside CB's are good other than for depth. Trice showed a little something last year coming back from missing his rookie season.

The wrench in this draft is still a QB. I still think it's better than 50-50 they take a QB and even in the first round by possible trade up. Nothing will surprise me. Or, they can take a QB in the 4th or 5th and then possibly trade up next year in the 1st to get a top QB in that draft - depending on how they do this year.

Did some unrealistic trade backs but they were offered so I took them. Still grabbed Grant to sure up the DL and Pegues as a project in a later round. Snagged Dart (been drafting him or Shough recently as I would be shocked if we don't grab a QB even if it's in the 1st). Added another WR and Tuten as the fastest RB in the draft. Reed is a good S that could grow into being a long term starter. Nelson is a big OT that we can use as a swing tackle. I could take this. I think the rest of my mocks will only be with our initial picks with no trade backs since that has a better than 90% of being what happens.

The more I think o. It. The more I am afraid they are going to reach on a QB at 21. Certainly hope not unless one of the top 2 fall.

They need help in so many areas thst they cannot afford to trade up.

Gotta go after a DL after not addressing in in FA

If they end up doing this then whoever has insisted they go after Rodgers and not pay Justin Fields needs to have their entire job rest on developing said qb.

Not if they believe they have what they need in Benton.

I mean regardless of what they think of Benton, he can only fill 1 hole on the line, Cam Heyward is 38, and they lost their starting LE. Whatever they think of Benton he can't fill both LE and DT. If they slide him to LE they have no one at DT. If they leave him at DT then they have no one at LE. And they need Cam Heywards replacement with time to develop too or their future is looking pretty bleak along the dline.

This draft class is great for probably the first four rounds along the dline. They should be 100% drafting 2 dline players in those four rounds. I'd be doing that by looking to trade down and acquire an extra third or fourth round pick.

Didn't go QUITE like I had guessed based on the first round picks. The Colts jumped me for Dart, so I went plan B. I know back to back RB's in the 3rd round is a little outside the box thinking :ROFLMAO:

Serious note tho, pick up a big pick next year, a Cam replacement, a workhorse RB, and beef up the trenches. And I get a super athletic freak who might be able to develop into a somewhat decent passer.

Wouldn't be too surprised if the Steelers went oline in the 1st round I'd they bring in Aaron Rodgers. I will say that it's awfully hard to fill in their roster holes with the current draft picks. We need a trade back badly.

Tried 10 times without trading and every time Indy picked Dart before the Steelers 3rd round pick. I can’t justify the pick in round 1 and couldn’t get a taker to move into the late 2nd to take Dart there. Shough was always there at pick 123 though.

It's funny how different the mocks are for different people. In 90% of my mocks, where Cleveland and NY take a QB in the first, Indy always takes Milroe in the second. I don't know if there's buzz in Indy, but it would seem they already have a Milroe in Richardson. Dart would make more sense, but I still don't see them taking a QB this year. I think they try to give their QB room some help before they blow it all up again.

They brought in a free agent DL that was more productive than Larry O- so they have SOMEONE.
Yeah he’s like 31 but they still have a replacement rostered. They also have Lowry who can’t be much worse than Larry O and they have Leal and the kid Logan Lee coming back from IR they drafted last year.

So a team with Cam, Benton, Adams, Lowry, Loudermilk and Leal as returning vets along with Logan Lee coming off redshirt year and a free agent Ekuale coming in isn’t exactly “no one” as you state. That’s 8 bodies right there with a mix of old Cam, guys entering their prime and a couple first contract guys. **** we rarely play more than 2 DL anyway.

Would a big nasty like Grant be a great pick-sure
But the cupboard is hardly as bare as the picture you’re painting.

Larry O sucked and Ekuale was productive so the unit is already upgraded from last year with that swap and getting last year’s pick in the mix.

I’m not saying it shouldn’t be upgraded further-it should. But they have plenty of guys right now.
