Let the Mocks begin.......

If NE is truly asking a 3rd for Milton, I don't know man...might as well draft Milroe at that point.
This. He’s the most toolsy guy in the draft, but raw, huge boom or bust risk although he would always be moved to another position I guess.

Outside of Ward and Milroe, looks a lot like the 2022 QB draft.

No major coaches at Oregon's pro day, including Dunbar. Makes it unlikely we take their top DL in the first.

I could handle this one

Had to grab Etienne earlier than most mocks I've done, there was a run on RB, and he was the last one with any speed. Other options were Phil Mafah (I do like him), Jordan James, Devin Neal.

Traded down with Buf, they wanted Campbell. Grant made it to 45, I figured he'd slide more than Dart, neither Cleveland or NYG took QBs in the first. Cleveland grabbed Nolan at 33, NYG Milroe.

I then traded down again and out of the third, there wasn't a player there that I couldn't grab later, swapped 83 and 156 for 110, 145, 162, and a 4th next year.

We're taking a QB in this draft. If Dart is there in the 1st, I think they take him. If a QB slides to say the 9 or 10 range, they may trade up to get them and they may even trade up to get Dart. If that doesn't work, they will take one of the QB's still standing in the 3rd. That could be Shough, Milroe, or Howard off the top of my head.

I'd rather they didn't NEED to draft a QB early this year but that's the position they've put themselves in. This is especially true if the rumors of them only offering 1 year deals to Rodgers or whomever.

Taking every chance I can, and STILL able to get help to do it again next year.

With the Milroe meeting, this might be their line of thinking!

High interest in 2nd day QBs and not visiting Harmon Pro Day, we might as well be trading down for real.

Not sure how tiny Lamar's hands are but if you read the below, it reads almost identical to what you see being said about Milroe. These came from 2 different reviews on Lamar. Looked this up out of pure curiosity.

Lamar Jackson, Louisville: Jackson is the ultimate playmaker in this draft. He has the ability to beat teams with his legs or his arm, but he has a tendency to miss on simple throws and hasn't proven he can slide to avoid hits outside the pocket.

Weaknesses:
· Inaccurate
· Poor footwork, which leads to inaccuracy
· Thin frame
· Needs to get stronger for the NFL
· Too much of one of the guys; could stand to be more of a leader
· Alarming wonderlic score (13)

Just saw a draft value chart. Not sure how true these things are but if the Steelers drop back to 30, they have a 180 value differential which would be a 3rd round pick. It's not even close to a 2nd round pick. In fact, it is in the back half of the 3rd round. It would be nice to get our 2nd back but falling back doesn't look possible.

They would have to drop back then trade back up using a pick next year.

They could get a 2nd back by trading GP

We could hope for a 2nd but I think they would take a 3rd. Hopefully, they don't take anything less. The dude is going to sign a $30+ million per year contract after this season.

Hopefully not here

Based on the trades that Khan has done thus far, I don't think teams are using that value chart much anymore. There are too many variables to trades, who the player they are trading up for is, how badly they want him, is the team immediately following going to take said player. I think the value chart is just a launching point in the negotiations.

When we traded up for Jones, we were pick 17, a 950 value. Traded up to 14, a 1100 value. Gave them the 17 and 120 pick for a total value of 1054. And the reasoning we got behind it was that Belichick was fine with taking less to screw over the Jets who were rumored to be looking at Jones for their pick. So the value chart isn't a set in stone thing.

In my mocks I've gotten trade offers that were 31, 63, and 66 from KC based on who was there, and also trades that were 31, and a 2nd in 2026 for 21 and 229. I know they are just mocks, but it's more than just arbitrary values placed on picks that MUST add up to the same value.
