2017 Free Agent rumors and news

four years, $43.5 million, with $19 million guaranteed

How much U wanna bet they keep Butler too?

Good. This would have been a waste of money. Vince will be fine. Hopefully they can get a ILB in the first 5 picks. The Steelers need to be smart with their cap space from here on out the next few years. This would not have been that at all. Hightower is a 2 down player in this system. That doesn't add up to 11 million a year.

Holy ****

HARD HAT ALERT!

Mods working!!!!!!!

$11 million a year. Isn't that less than Timmons was making? Then again, I am actually intrigued to see what Vince will do. He is a beast against the run and makes some huge *** hits. Next man up!

Ravens making moves we should be making

Ravens sign Brandon Carr to four-year deal

Ravens signed CB Brandon Carr, formerly of the Cowboys to a four-year contract.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, it's actually a one-year deal with a "series of options." Schefter said it's most realistically called a two-year, $12 million contract. ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer opined in early February that keeping Carr should be a "priority" for the Cowboys, but there had been few updates on his status since. He was allowed to hit the open market with little fanfare.

Carr never quite lived up to his monster, five-year contract in Dallas, but was a solid starter. He helps stabilize a secondary that's been uneven in recent years.

Saints, Butler motivated to make deal

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Saints and Patriots restricted free agent CB Malcolm Butler have mutual interest in working out a trade and extension following Thursday's visit.

Per Rapsheet, the visit "went well." CSN New England reported two days ago that Butler had "warmed up" to the idea of playing in New Orleans. If the sides can agree to the parameters of a long-term deal, the Pats and Saints should be able to work out trade compensation.

Brodern your horizons

Jamaal Charles

Free agent Jamaal Charles has left his Seahawks visit without a contract.

The Seahawks surprisingly still hosted Charles even after signing Eddie Lacy.

We could do worse

Bring him in for a look-see

any decent cbs left?

decent.............. perhaps with a few more risks.........

Steelers have it covered though they will somehow find a way to draft a OLB/CB/WR/TE in round 1.

Marshawn Lynch apparently coming out of retirement and being traded to Oakland.

eh. boring.

Do the Steelers realize they don''t have enough CB's to even go into camp? Even if they draft 2, they will barely be able to do anything. They need to bring in a decent FA CB and they just watched all the 1st and 2nd tier CB's get taken along with the 1st and 2nd tier EDGE rushers.

I usually don't get too disappointed in what the Steelers do in FA. But, this year is different. With Ben's comments, I really don't expect him to be around for more than 2 or 3 years and probably only 2. They needed to do something in free agency and they got nothing done. We are still weak and very thin at OLB and CB. The draft won't be enough to fix that.

Don't be a hater you're not allowed to question them at all!
