2018-19 Penguins and NHL Offseason

The Caps are falling into the hit first play hockey later trap. If they get preoccupied trying to beat the canes up they will lose. Where have we heard that before? I think all the emotion from losing Oshie wore off last night too, and they are going to have their hands full tomorrow night. Also you have to take into account what we seen with the Pens where a Stanley Cup run, subsequent party in the off season, then another grind through the playoffs takes its toll. Just want them gone so nobody else can lay claim to going back to back like the Pens did.

The Stars Preds game was really good last night right up to the point I fell asleep going into OT. I hate getting old. Rinne and Bishop were making huge saves all night.

Tonight's games should be fun too if I can stay awake lol.

I'd be shocked if WASH doesn't beat the Canes tomorrow night. They are pretty damn good with that crowd. Even if they do pull it out against CAR, NYI are patiently waiting and polishing up their gameplan. I want to see how that plays out or the Pens really did get punked by an inferior team. I think it will be the latter, but we'll see.

The NASH/DAL game was a good one. Glad those catfish throwing marrons went home early, too.

Looking forward to the games tonight. Really want to see Vegas and Toronto to advance. If WASH loses, I'll be a happy hockey fan.

Damn Sharks beat Vegas last night. 4 goals on a 5 minute powerplay, Incredible ! Not to mention game 7 overtime.

Currently I am rooting for anyone but The Sharks and caps.

This may have been the worst bracket I have filled out for any sport ever.

I don't think the hit was a 5 minute major worthy hit.
But Vegas collapsed. MAF looked shaky.

I can't see the sharks beating the avs.
St. Louis and Dallas are pretty easy to root for in the west.

I hope the canes leave it all out there tonight.

That Sharks game was nuts. The 5-min major was a bit excessive. I turned it off to go bed when it was 3-0, put it back on to see the handshakes and it was tied. I thought I was seeing things. Boom, 4-3 Sharks and then Vegas tied it. WOW, what a crazy game. I couldn't stay up on OT, even though i really wanted to see it.

Let's go Canes!!!! On that bandwagon hard tonight.

I can't see the 5 minute major either but nobody in the building or watching probably thought the Sharks would score 4 off of it. Like you said some of the blame falls on Fleury and Vegas. That had to be the wildest game 7 ever.

Let's go Canes!

Shorty... Let's go Canes

This game is really entertaining.
**** Washington, but along with Carolina. Quite a show.

Hell fn yeah!!!!

Wow, what a game!!! I'm pulling for the Canes from here on, they are a gritty bunch.

Caps are out. Now I can enjoy the playoffs.

Ha, if you are going in, you can take my place. That was one hell of a series. I found myself getting charged up pulling for the Canes and against the Caps. You'd think the Pens were playing if you were in my basement. Now that the Caps are done, not sure there's much hockey left in my tank but I will be pulling for Carolina.

Just glad those d-bags are done for the year and their fans can once again feel what it's like to lose in the early rounds of the Playoffs.

I am rooting for the Avs going forward, but hope Carolina continues to play well. That market needs it. I have been to Pens games in that building that were easily 75% Pens fans. Those fans deserve a winner. Been too long.

I'm amazed CAR pulled that off. Whooo, felt like a Pens W. Now, if I can press my luck and have BOS bounced, I will not care who hoists the Cup. Hell, the Blues never have won it, so why not? I think they are good enough. Honestly, it's been quite exciting so far and look forward to Round 2.

It will be interesting to see how the Jackets and Islanders come off this long lay up. Have to think the Bruins are in the drivers seat now with the other top teams gone. I will be pulling for the Jackets tonight. I still think they are the team that will give everyone left fits.
