2018-19 Penguins and NHL Offseason

Now that's a trend I love seeing...last 3 games goals allowed from both goalies..1,1,0 with 39 saves welcome back Murray..keep on keeping on.

Well, I would say Murray was Murray. 38 saves is no easy night. Pens are on a roll. Kind of sorry they have 4 days off. They rest is good but I hope they keep the mojo.

Offensively Sid has carried this team for the last 9 games.

Malkin looked somewhat engaged but Phil is invisible, If these to could get going we would have something.

At least they are playing defense. I saw Malkin backchecking a lot tonight. That's how the pens are going to win is by keeping the score 2-1 or 3-2 type games. They don't have the offense right now to outscore teams. Malkin, Brassard and Phil are worthless on offense right now.

Could've been 5-0 too.
Sid looked in some good chances as well as Malkin.

3 game win streak.
They get a christmas break too.
Hope these guys come back ready to roll Thursday

I feel the same thing going on with Geno now as Rust went through..

Flood gates are about to open.

Something else to note is the amount of Pens fans at pnc arena lol.
That was home ice advantage basically

Been to several games at PNC Arena when the Pens come to town. I have even been there to see the Canes play other teams. It is always like that. Last time I went to a Pens game there, the ratio of Pens fans to Canes fans was easily 3-1, maybe 4-1. I know the Canes haven't been good for a long time, but Raleigh isn't really a hockey town until it is late March and they have a shot at the playoffs.

EDIT: I know when they sold the Canes recently, the new owner(s) had to sign an agreement that they wouldn't move the team for some years, I wanna say 7 but I'm not sure. My money say they bolt first chance they get.

Not only were there tons of Pens fans, but there were a ton of empty seats

MERRY CHRISTMAS to the guys and gals that follow this thread. Living in Maryland I don't often get to talk to real Pen's fans. This thread is much appreciated !

Merry Christmas Benny!
Having you around is much appreciated. You get to see the team more up close.
Always great insight from your perspective.

Enjoy the hockey break. We could all use it lol.
Pens will be back stronger I think.

I remember when that team was founded and their first year was in Greensboro. Went to see the Pens play. It was just before the playoffs so they rested most of the big names including Jagr. Pens still won and had a good time with all the other Pens fans in attendance which seemed to be a majority even back then

Pens look like they are taking the night off. No fire at all

They woke up

They woke up

If you've been on this board for any time at all, you would be familiar with my gift. Those two goals were due to my skills.

You're welcome

Pens up 2-1. They look good but they still let skaters to far in. They need to move them outside.

You do excellent work. How come the Pens are not undefeated? You need to work harder at generating goals for this team and less time doing whatever it is you do during the interim. Now stop gloating and get the hell back to work!

Nice to see Phil wake up. Geno is pressing hard to the net, too.

Beautiful shot Phil! 3-1

Phil with another PP goal... 3-1 Pens!!

Malkin turns the puck over and now it's 3-2. Stupid play by Malkin.
