2018-19 Penguins and NHL Offseason

Was listening to ol 29ers post game wrap up and he commented on how well the Pens organization is run and has quality individuals from the owners to the coaches and players and all the way down.

He mentioned how Sullivan was praising Riickola and how he's so well liked on the team because he's a good guy and upstanding person. He tried to not compare the difference between the Pens and Steelers, (he wasn't trying to bad mouth them) but he pretty much stated what most have been talking about on the Football side of the site. This team looks incredible. Each player is a factor. Can't imagine how other teams are planning against them right now. Our biggest issues are what to do with Ricolah, and what to do when Schultz returns.

Loving this run.
 
I'm starting to hate Jack Johnson just a little less. Funny how an 8 game winning streak can do that for you.

Murray is in a zone. Even his glove has been strong.

The motors were running tonight. The compete level right now is outstanding. Goals came in strange ways from odd people. Maata first goal in 57 games. Cullen gets credit for one off his ear.

Chicago Sunday night needs to be a payback for the egg we laid in their building. Craps have a game in hand but we are tied for first. By rights this streak should extend to 10 games as we have the Panthers Tuesday. My worry is that the Pens have played down to the level of lesser teams several times already this year Half way point of the season and we are in great position. Let's see where we go from here !


We had a blast at the game. Great section, just about all of which stayed for the 3 stars. I caught a T-shirt that dropped from the blimp. Won a autograph puck on the Pens Instant win game. Didn't win the 50/50, damn it !

Hey you can't win em all.

Phil Bouroque was saying how Murray has been standing tall in net again since returning from injury and shooters don't have much daylight to aim for.

What ever got fixed while he was on IR is like day and night. They talk about swager. You can see the confidence from the time he steps on the ice. Bourque is my favorite part of the post game. When they're bad he calls them out. Last night he was almost giddy about how well they played. Our goal is to be past Donegal on the turnpike before he's done.
 
I hope the Pens aren't done winning any time soon. Keep reeling them off. We need them to stay in the playoff discussion.
 
Oh another on NBC sports this evening. Hope they can get some payback on these guys.
 
I agree, man. I hope we turn the tables on Chicago last night. I love that they are struggling.
 
I'd love to be going tonight. These 8:00 starts make it tough. That would put me back home around 2:30 AM, We done it before and will probably do it again but I think we'll be watching on TV. This team is in a far different place than at their last meeting. I've got my fingers crossed on this one.

We'll be there Tuesday. I wanted to catch the Panthers before we see them in Florida.

Sorry, but I disagree on JJ. He is not going to any all-star game soon, but the guy uses the body to break up forechecks very well. He also is quick to take a turn over and pass it to the play makers. I have seen him fight for the crease, and he doesn't quit even when he screws up.

The defense this last month or so has been amazing. He has been a part. The whole team is stepping up. Love what we are doing.
 
I have a feeling the bottom lines are gonna bring it for the Pens.
Cullen's line is grinding and kicking ***.
Brassard's line has the Bryan Rust/Carl Hagelin syndrome. In that they play good but don't score. The flood gates need to open up for them
 
The Pens are rolling again.. Horny and Guentzel with goals.. 2-0 PENS!! Just 5 minutes in.

Yeah a slump for sure. I'm sure he'll get his mojo back sometime. I'm bummed we didn't score on the 5-3 power play. They still get a little cute. Brassard had a great chance to shoot it earlier at close range and he opted for a pass that ended up getting cleared out.

So far so good. I want like 5 more goals to feel comfy
 
Ok. I'm half watching the game as I shop for tickets in February. I hear Kunitz scores and for a second I looked up excitedly... then it hit me. Oh ya

Yeah. Doesn't Chicago have us like eight games in a row?

The defense is softer tonight than I have seen them, and YES I did see JJ wiff on that one.

Dont think I can see the exact seat from them though. My son is 6'4" so an aisle seat would be ideal but not required.
