2018-19 Penguins and NHL Offseason

2 - 0 early in the first period.

I've seen this movie before
 
3-0 shortie.
But we cannot stay out of the box tonight.

Hey MTC, the App is only 20 seconds ahead of the video tonight. You can turn down the volume on the TV, listen to Mike and Phil then catch the key plays on video.

You get to hear some amusing conversation between those two. Somehow conversation included Mike kidding Phil about him searching for a heated speedo for their trip out West. I won't go into the further discussion about the batteries...Lange being the ultimate professional steered the discussion back to the game.

True but the TV announcers are not as skilled at describing the game because they rely on you watching the game. Not sure why they need to exist actually. I'm watching the game, I don't need some jag to tell me what's going on. :)
 
How about Phil B's stab at Tomlin for needing the Pens challenge skills. Epic.

Really wanted a shut out for MM. Oh well.

I remember in the 80s when some network tried this in the nfl. That game was hard to watch.

That was great. I've heard him take a few legitimate jabs at the team on the North Side over the past few games

You mean where you could only hear the stadium announcer? I sort of liked it. Made you feel more like you were sitting in the stands.
 
That fight was good. ZAR looked like a man in charge.

Yeah JMM, that was the one. Wasn't for me.

Only downside is I think ZAR hurt his hand. Went to the dressing room after

Wise choice. He didn't want to hurt his hand. Guess it didn't matter. I'd bet the recipient of that hit probably has a pretty good headache
 
Likely the grittiest game so far wouldn't you think? Great to see them playing tough rather than just absorbing hits
 
2 fights, 2 short handed goals, Sid tying Mario for 20 goal seasons, what a night ! Pettersson didn't back down, not much of a fighter but did the right thing. ZAR accounted for himself well but Sully said he is going to be out for a while in the post game. Horny took a stick to the head/face early, never came back.

There was a lot of slop in this game. Bad transitions, stupid blind passes and some lousy power play time. Murray was the 1st star and probably should have been the 2nd too. He was outstanding again. Pens penalty killing is 92%, 23 out of 25 over the past 10 games. The good and bad.


Almost 3 weeks to the next Pens home game. I'm going to go through withdrawal. .

2 shorthanded goals and just 1 total given up. Good stuff. I seem to miss all of the cool games....onward!
 
The replay looked like Horny got the puck in the pie-hole. Looked like a few teeth won't be finishing the season. Can't find an update.

The look on ZAR's face makes me worry about the hand.
