2018-19 Penguins and NHL Offseason

They got back into it too far. Would have loved a shut out

Another win streak?

If they play a full 60 minute game, there's no stopping them. Amazing how they can just turn it on and off. Tampa did get pretty sloppy during that stretch in the first but the Pens to their credit took advantage of it.

I hope so ! Back to back with travel to Toronto will be a tough ask.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Pens play Tampa again. This time it will be in their building and they will have the rust off. The schedule is favorable and I'd love to see a win streak carried to Tampa. Not to mention but I'm going to the Panthers and Bolts games.

They need to turn it on and leave it on for awhile.

One of the better wins of the year. They beat TOR, WASH, go to Canada and spank them but then can't beat NJ, LA or CHI.

I'd keep Blueger up and find a trading partner for Brassard.

Hope we don't lose one of our up and coming players. If they trade Blucher I'm seriously going to be pissed. :)

OK good. Brassard clearly didn't want to be here and we got younger.

names are familiar, but wasn't expecting Sheahan to be traded. Hope these guys offer the spark the team needs.

Kinda on the fence about Sheahan. He wasn't necessarily lighting the world on fire.
Always thought his puck protection was underrated.

Plus side the Pens got a bit more physical. Should be an interesting spring once ZAR comes back

Both adds being former first rounders shows potential. Bugs is kind of injury prone, concussions, migraines and a broken wrist the past couple of years. For his size, in my mind he isn't a power forward. That said, you never know exactly the role he was expected to play. Like Brassard, boom or bust. McCann can be a great puck mover. He is supposed to have a defensive conscience but how could you tell with as bad as the Panthers have been. I think player to players this looks good. If Bugs can regain some form it will be great. Both are under contract.

The surprising part is both are natural centers and not wings. The Pens still need a strong left wing. We still have our #1 pick, JR might not be done yet.

it wouldn't surprise me if someone like Maata is moved with Schultz coming back.

Tanner Pearson was also a 1st rounder. Seeing a pattern here ?

I'm glad Brassard is gone. He didn't do anything while here. I guess he didn't want to be a pen. I don't know much about the other guys but we'll see what they bring. I hope they can at least protect the puck and not give up short handed goals.

Bringing these guys in makes one wonder what the future is for Teddy Blueger ?

I've read both Bugs and McCann "can" play wing but "can" doesn't always work. Their long term positions have been center. Shame Brassard didn't work out. I was excited to see him come here. Sheahan was Meh at best but served a purpose. Losing two UFA's that weren't producing and gaining two signed players works for me. Thing is, Bugs better produce. I could care less about the 4th rounders but the 2nd stings a little. I'll trust GMJR one more time.

Dang that was an interesting drive. Google took key through the mountains. Good thing I didn't have my 2wd Ranger or Mustang. Rented an Escape with 'intelligent 4wd'.

WTF ! Malkin out tonight with an upper body. Brassard gone, Can't wait to see what the PP looks like.
