Like I’ve said before.. they are going into camp with all four in case of injury … if all four look good they trade one… if one looks bad maybe they cut him… they also may simply try to sign the seventh rounder to the PS… but they are definitely taking all four in to the preseason at leastAre they thinking of trying to trade rudy? Just strange they take a qb here.
Thoughts?

The Steelers aren't paying $5 million to a third-string QB. He'll be gone before the season starts.Rudolph isn’t going anywhere anytime soon whether we like it or not. He’s the only one with any experience on this team.
I read an interesting piece of information Friday (I think it was on DK's site). It seems that while Canada left before Pickett arrived at Pitt, Pitt continued to run the concepts/offense installed by Canada. So, actually, Pickett has the most experience running Canada's type of offense of any QB in the room. Does Rudy's one year learning Canada's offense really make him so valuable that he couldn't be moved? I guess we'll see ... but there's a $3M savings if they trade or cut him.Rudolph isn’t going anywhere anytime soon whether we like it or not. He’s the only one with any experience on this team.
Think so? Interesting take. I just thought they would hold on because of the experience factor. The Steelers aren't paying $5 million to a third-string QB. He'll be gone before the season starts.
Who says he will be 3rd String? He might beat out Mitch for #1 or Pickett for #2.The Steelers aren't paying $5 million to a third-string QB. He'll be gone before the season starts.
I think Rudolph should be gone and bring in a cheap vet QB. We need someone w/ a lot of exp to help the young guys out. I wasnt a fan of taking another QB in the 7th round
Why o Why with all this team needs you sign a another QB. Trubisky was signed with fire works and now he and Mason must be really shaking their heads. Both have experience and you sign another QB that has not played one snap in the NFL. He was still on your board would you not love to see what was on this board? Tomlin loves to say he knows are system so you what trade or cut Mason? Remember all these QB's still have a offensive line that is awful, as this site runs down Mason and Trubisky who played in Chicago with a line like ours that stunk and he was on the ground more than passes thrown. Just another head scratcher under Tomlin
You just love you some male fantasy. I bet you are one of those cross guessers. People have to guess what the hell you are.Mason sucks balls. We received proof of this several seasons ago. And I don't remember any fireworks for Glitch other than a handful of people on this forum thinking that he was Ben's heir apparent.
Mason had several years to show any sign of being a QB1. He didn’t.Gotta feel for Mason Rudolph. Slides in the 2018 draft, gets picked in the 3rd round as heir apparent to franchise QB. Patiently bides his time, sitting and learning behind Ben for years.
Ben retires, Colbert & Tomlin allow themselves a full fifteen seconds to ponder their fate with Mason as the QB1. Steelers sign Trubisky then draft not one, but two QB's.
It is what it is.![]()

You never fail to bring something totally irrelevant into the conversation.Mason sucks balls. We received proof of this several seasons ago. And I don't remember any fireworks for Glitch other than a handful of people on this forum thinking that he was Ben's heir apparent.
Trubisky has a lot more NFL experience than Rudolph just not with the Steelers.Rudolph isn’t going anywhere anytime soon whether we like it or not. He’s the only one with any experience on this team.
The Steelers actions in free agency and the draft seem to suggest Rudolph isn’t in their plans. Rudolph has a lot of convincing but very limited opportunity to change that.Who says he will be 3rd String? He might beat out Mitch for #1 or Pickett for #2.
