Considering how "accurate" most of these click bait articles are, I'll wait to see official news about an actual signing and terms before ranting too much about what's talked about in most of these made up opinion pieces being posted as news these days.

What's interesting is they have no QB plan of any kind other than scramble to fill.

Since HOF Ben has gone, there is no QB Developpement or resemblance of long term plan.

Grade schoolers know better. Hindsight says Fields was their best option since Ben. Fields should have been a 2yr deal originally and this year extended. That's what you do in developing a QB. Justin showed signs, so worth the investment unless someone else came along.

Teams should never cease trying to improve that QB room, Coach Tomlin did when he had Ben and it is showing Mike's ineptness at the QB obtain and development festival, held yearly.

I'm guessing they think they aren't very far away from contending for a SB. Apparently they don't watch their own tape. I don't know if it is ownership, the FO, the coach or all three, but they are sure making a mess. I mean, Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson are your two best options, and there's a scenario where they could end up with neither. Then what?

Rodgers had his lowest QB rating with the Jets since he became a starter in 2008.
Why are we interested in him?
He's also two years removed from being the MVP. If he's signed, I'll hope last year was due to only a year removed from his major achilles injury and playing for the Jets since that's never good for anyones career. By the end of the season last year, he was playing much better as he had more time to get over the injury and adjust to the new team.

trading for Fields, then letting him go in FA, with a massive amount of salary cap is an excellent way to **** yourself into a corner at QB. of course Rodgers will ask for the moon. so will anyone else.

Yep! Rodgers knows they are in desperation mode now. He will try and gouge them for as much as he can get.

I can't believe they just did that. Well actually, with this group, I can.

Unless the O-line improves, doesn't matter who takes snaps. And a much less mobil 41 year old QB won't last long.

Hopefully he's off the radar w/ his 90M over 2 years wish...
Still betting wilson returns... most logical move..the rodgers speculation is probably to get the Giants to up their offer
Makes me feel a bit better - that way the state of NY can keep A-A Ron...

Not sure if that $90 million for 2 years we've been talking about is real but the longer Rodgers drags this out, the fewer remote options the Steelers will have and the higher his demands will be. I sure hope they don't spend more than $30 million per for him and preferably closer to what Fields ended up getting at $20 million per.

If the STEELERS wanted Wilson, he’d be signed immediately.

I think Wilson may be in the fold, but not as the primary target currently.

Don’t forget Coach Tomlin’s infatuation with the Aron………………………

Yeah, local radio reporting that he’s wanting $40 mill a year. At his age I’d pay him half that.

Agree. Wilson quiet as a mouse for a reason IMO. He'll be our QB1 next year and I hope we land one in the draft. Not a big fan of Wilson, but I'd take him back since we wants to be here and didn't act up at all last year. Not interested in watching Rogers roll his eyes and blame everyone but himself.

Well, there was the Duck Hodges era, remember that? We could be headed there. They deserve it.

I think if I'm Rodgers, I'd want to play for the Vikings if winning is at the top of his priorities. They would be legit super bowl contenders with him. If he goes to the Giants, you know it's just for the money since he's not going to win there. I do think he at least brings the Steelers into the Super Bowl contender conversation during the preseason at least.

I'm hoping he's not holding the Steelers hostage causing them to lose out on other players as he plays the game to get more teams involved to drive up the price teams will pay. The longer this plays out, the more likely Wilson is the the guy next year. Wilson won't be the end of the world if it's a team friendly deal. However, I feel like we saw what Wilson has to offer last year under Tomlin and it's not going to get the team to the super bowl. Maybe he will at least get Tomlin that elusive playoff win...

This **** with Rogers reeks of Brandon Aiyuk last year. holding the Steelers hostage for more money to play where he really wants to play. Khan is a Idiot. Rooney has ****** this team from top to bottom.

Letting Fields walk for 20 million a season is one of the worst decisions these morons could have made this year. but we still have plenty of time to see if they can **** things up even more.
