AB tweets this in the middle of Tomlins presser

My buttons need reset from the Steelers. They are making me exhausted and I don't even play for them.

Yeah man, there is so much fixing that needs to be done with this team.

All of this seems related to letting Bell do his number on the team this year. They should have found a way of trading Bell last offseason.

They were either too trustworthy or gullible to think Bell would have come in like he did in 2017. It clearly didn't work out as they thought it would. They offered him a contract, he didn't sign it, left $14.5M on the table of guaranteed money- no one saw that coming. They got burned. Bell put them in a tough spot to fix any position through November. It's nice now they have that money to work with, but 2018 was a cluster. I don't think 2019 gets much better, but I'm optimistic.

I don't know that they "let" bell do anything. They were willing to pay him $14m+ for 2018. He could have played for that, and made a mint next season. They only options they had were: 1) let him walk for nothing 2) hope he signs the tag.

they couldn't do diddly squat, except pull the tag, without bell signing the tag. Pulling the tag would have given Bell exactly what he wanted, a big contract with someone.

JH quit on the team and got what he wanted before Bell did his dance.
Blount quit on the team and got what he wanted before JH followed suit.
anyone see a pattern?

He watched Bell very closely this year evidently. He saw that by being a selfish player that doesn't give a **** about winning you can get out of town and "get yours" somewhere else. I hope they can work out a trade to get him off the roster. I think he and Bell were locker room cancers and the team as a whole will be better off without them. Good riddance. If you bring him back you are asking for trouble. There will be a huge division in the locker room again this year and they will go nowhere.

After today and that stupid video with James Harrison (I thought this was all a business James? No hard feelings?), the Steelers really have no other choice.

Bullshit.

A lot of emotional posts, with extremes.

They put the wrong tag on Bell to begin with. Failing to assess the situation correctly. As if you are a difficult sign one year damn sure possible with his tarded history he is going to be a difficult sign again.

Things might also get cleaned up to his liking. Things typically happen for a reason and all this drama might blow up the team to where we have a good core of dedicated players and coaches again. We'll see

Yeah, I'm always hearing of collapses here and there (and yes, this is a very trying time for this team), but I will never count them out. It could galvanize the players/coaches who are remaining dedicated. Ben has already expressed that he wants to keep playing for the Steelers and even hinted at wanting another extension so we won't need to worry about Ben retiring anytime soon.

Yeah they sure did designate the wrong tag for Bell. Big mistake they made on that one.

This is what he actually tweeted

“My options may seem limited by people or circumstances. It is then that I remind myself I am in command of my attitude,” the post from Brown said. “I am divinely blessed with free will. I utilize that gift, choosing to take charge of my life; to express the creativity, vitality and wholeness that truly define me.”

So what exactly does that mean to you? Brown was absolutely able to express his 'creativity' alright, the facebook video during a team speech, the helicopter entrance, the fights with gatorade coolers, the swinging his arm away at his OC trying to calm him down, his quitting practice or communication with anyone after throwing a football at someone before the last game of the year, his whining and pouting to the media and calling people out etc. All this coming from a guy who's just flourished in this offense. I don't care if his total catch number was down this year, Ben stopped force-feeding him so much, which would a lot of times end up in the wrong hands anyways. He still led the league in catch TDs.

I really don't understand what this dude's beef is, and that little diatribe just made me more confused.

What's bullshit? Just asking cause I'm not following.

This Steelers have no other choice but to let him go ****.

It screams of a knee jerk extreme stance.

You are going from slapping a guy on the wrist to getting rid of him.

No suspensions no fines **** it let's get rid of everyone who annoys us.

Think the team struggles now, take away the best WR of all time and see how that works out for yinz.

Glue to the CIncy game and add a bunch of L's after the matchups for next year.

Concussions taking a toll maybe? About the only other explanation that doesn't involved some sort of banned substance.

The problem is the egos and the immature behavior. it starts from the QB and trickles down. It was Ben that called out AB on the Denver incident to deflect from his glaring problem with red zone picks, it was Ben that then said " We should have gone to Ju Ju on all 4 downs." Who do you think that is a dig at? And WHY is it necessary? It's not! It's just childish behavior from your supposed "leader"

Brown swallowed it and it just all got puked up over this last week. That's not to say AB hasn't been a douche himself, at this point you have no choice but to part ways with AB no matter what the monetary loss, if you don't then you WILL NEVER be able to tell any other players anything concerning discipline. Some team will just salivate and go against their better judgement and take him. Good luck with that.

Tomlin needs to go as well. He has fostered this summer camp run by bong hitting counselors excuse for a culture and allowed it to go on and on. Of course Art 2 will do nothing, Ben will not go anywhere as Tomlin's mediocrity is tied to Ben's. And to be fair Ben just talks a bunch of crap and creates chaos but he shows up and performs at least.

Art 2 and Tomlin will dump AB, stick with Ben and the suckers will fill the seats for 9-7 10-6 and/or 1 and done in the playoffs till Ben retires.

Let the era of even more bland vanilla results commence, but hey!

We have a hall of fame QB that can throw for 5 billion yards.......you know like that Fran Tarkenton guy used to and never win anything, also giving the Vikings fans blue balls along the way not related to the Minnesota weather. By the way he's in the hall of fame too......you younger cats Wikipedia is your friend if you want to see where we're heading.

While I agree you're getting rid of an all-time great WR, I don't think it's a knee-jerk extreme stance to shop him for a landmark trade. He's been doing stupid **** for over a year now. They've put up with it, over and over. I would too when you're as good as AB.

But, and I understand this comes with consequences to the offense, how do you let a guy who quit on the team the final game of the season (where playoffs are on the line) and now requesting a trade stay on the team? It divides the locker-room, it causes a ton of consternation within people in the organization and it sets a serious precedent that this type of crazy behavior is tolerated. I mean this was pretty bad, don't you think?

You absolutely have to dump him. This will set the precedent for what's tolerated from hear on out, don't show up for work? No problem it's all good....ah no. He has to go, if he's allowed to stay Tomlin is an even bigger joke than the biggest Tomlin hater could have imagined.

Bell did it and they still wanted him back.

How you prevent it from dividing the team is try fines and suspensions first.

That sends a hard line stance, and shows the players that behavior won't be tolerated, no wrist slaps.

If you suspend him two then four his stats are screwed and some money is gone. pretty good actions, if that still doesn't work you can or trade his ***.

But in the process as a owner I am looking hard at the coach for letting this **** fester.

At least that is the way it should happen.........

What will happen might be a lesser more ridiculous result.

Nice cogent reply to my unassailable points.......................

A accurate reply to your twatwaffle intentions to spark a rise by trolling. I just cut the head off of the snake, Jake
