AB tweets this in the middle of Tomlins presser

They put the wrong tag on Bell to begin with. Failing to assess the situation correctly. As if you are a difficult sign one year damn sure possible with his tarded history he is going to be a difficult sign again.

True Slash, they did. But you understood the rationale at that time? Based on Bell’s disposition at that time, “they were real close”, “I really think we will get it done.” So it was implied discussions were going very well. Placing the Exclusive on Bell implied good faith that hey we are going to offer a contract commiserate with what we are discussing. Basically protecting their investment. Then, Bell started listening to OBJ and the talking heads and moved towards to the mindset of 17 mil/ year, and pay at #1 RB & #2 WR numbers. He changed his stance after the tag was issued. No doubt, if they knew then what would happen later they would have given him the non exclusive tag obviously. They were going to make him the highest paid RB (albeit for maybe a few weeks until Gurley got his). What else could they have done? I think they called Bell’s bluff and Bell bolted.

Oh I am sure there was some hindsight mixed in. Where the bigger fail was when they knew what was about to happen. Knowing that Conner was a injury question mark and JaySam was as raw as a RB could be. I upgrade the position and dump Ridley.

One of the biggest problem with Tombert is their misjudgment on situations just like this. It seems like they are all layered with multiple fails.

With Ridleys past how do you not be concerned with fumbles and not know there is a decent chance Conner gets hurt. So besides a raw RB they better upgrade with this nice Bell money at their disposal.

But nothing, other teams addressed deficiencies, Steelers sat on theirs. With their inability to see the forest for the trees.

Yeah, I agree about Ridley, but in training camp he seemed reliable. Bell, even with his rhetoric didn’t seem to imply he would sit out after the last preseason game. Only the Earl Thomas seemed to push him over the edge and not report at all. At that time who was out there that was any better than Ridley? At the time he hadn’t fumbled in like 300 carries IIRC. Of course there wasn’t any headhunting from him until he started coughing up the ball later. Folks have mentioned CJ Anderson. But he has been damaged goods for a couple years now. When Bell said he wasn’t reporting until week 8, I felt that a trade for Coleman in ATL was doable. He would have helped, and be had for a contract at the end of the year from Bell’s saved contract.

Steelers cheated

Steelers lied on injury report

Steelers players think Antonio Brown wasn’t injured

On the same day that Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told reporters he has no question to doubt the veracity of Brown’s claim that he had a knee injury last week, multiple unnamed Steelers players tell Aditi Kinkhabwala that they don’t believe Brown was injured.

During Tomlin’s press conference, he carefully glossed over the question of whether Brown participated in practice last Wednesday despite being injured, the question of whether Brown stormed out, and the question of whether Brown showed up last Thursday. Tomlin nevertheless was candid regarding the fact that Brown, when directed on Friday to get an MRI on his knee, didn’t — and regarding the fact that lack of communication from Friday to Sunday became one of the main reasons for Brown’s failure to play.

Apart from ensuring trade leverage, Tomlin has no reason to admit that Brown wasn’t injured, given that the Steelers placed him on the injury report and blamed his failure to play on the injury. The Steelers need to tread lightly on this; if they admit Brown wasn’t injured, they’ll face some sort of discipline from the league.

Unless, of course, the league decides to look the other way, since it’s the Steelers not the Patriots.

Florio being dipshitted Florio

And I am editing as I said that before looking who wrote it.

132 and 167 yards of damaged goods.- Yards he ran for after he signed.

And that is without us looking who was out there.

Also Dallas sure looked good with a cheap Cooper acquisition.

So the off-season was again a fail and then when the could see the current fails, they did,

nothing.

Ridley was known to be a fumbler it was the primary reason the cheats gave up on him. A phone convo with a cheats friend confirmed this as well. He was a accident waiting to happen which just so happened to show itself, imagine that huh? The last RB I would have brought in was one with ball security issues.

This is stupid. Why tf are we lobbying to get rid of the best WR in football? Instead, why aren’t people and the headlines talking about how MIKE TOMLIN doesn’t have control and never has!?!? Bell was greedy. He didn’t get his money, AB DID. AB is OUR star! If you let him walk we are turning around and bending tf over when we get ****** by defenses doubling Juju. AB has his money, his houses, his cars, his fan base. No one needs to turn the table and say **** him now, because he alone has won us games when the others couldn’t get it done. Ben will throw up the deuces if AB goes. It starts from the top, and clearly there is no respect for the top because MIKE TOMLIN isn’t the boss. He’s the homie at the coaching desk. Fix your attitudes.

Florio is an idiot. Tomlin can only go off what AB told him, if a player tells him he is injured what more can he do? He booked an MRI for AB, not his fault AB didn't go for an MRI. If anyone should be fined it's AB not the Steelers..

What the hell the Patriots have to do with anything just goes to show Florio's bias.

You might want to consider changing your name to killrbee

Never. As much as I hate the situation we’ve been in since bell, I will always be proud of the dominant force we could display with all 3. That was ****** awesome. Ppl didn’t talk back so much, they were hesitant to even commence the **** talking before the game started mostly(besides pats fans).

This year was tough and the direction seems pointed down because of the bone structure we have with our coaching.

Keith has been coaching within the team for awhile now and it’s gotten too comfy and he sucks as a coordinator.

Tomlin talks so smoothly he could downplay the tune of a wet fart. Inside the locker room we have a good idea of how he is. Too comfy. He has Rooney in his pocket again for “another winning season”.

RB: James proved he could be stout which I’m sure wasn’t anybody’s objection. He gets hurt.

Jaylen Samuels who I feel was a huge draft pick, is a star in the making. If he works on his pass blocking now, we could literally mold another universal player such like bell.

TE: We finally saw what Vance can do when he’s healthy because Outlaw seems hesitantly reacting after his catch ruling the year prior.

QB: I’m happy with the whole group as it stands.

Dobbs seems like a sharp dude when he’s on the field. Laser focus and always behind the coach or with Ben.

Ben is Ben. I don’t like how he has so many days off. I don’t like his display in comfort with pulling the veteran card and or saying he wants little to no change as possible. Seems selfish given he knows we know he’s almost done.

WR: I don’t have to say much about neither JUJU or AB. When they’re on the field together or not, they are playing to make “the play”. That’s it though. Just those 2.

We can’t be looking to get rid of AB. I don’t think it’s happening. Even with a 1st round pick I’m not giving up 84, especially while he’s still in his prime. We paid him. He needs new exposure I’m sure and I can understand that, because everything there is too comfy. Rooney has got to grow a pair or we’re just going to implode always no matter what star player we have. Once again we’re all being diverted with favorable media stories that want us to have the worst situations created for our players, without any of it falling back on ALL the coaches. AB is ours for the next 2. We’re staying plural with our B’s.

AB is done here, the guy walked out on his team, will not return calls to Tomlin, Rooney, or his teammates, but he sure as hell can make an Instagram video with his teen girlfriend, Harrison.

If they can get a blockbuster trade for him I'd pull the trigger. But with that type of talent I want a significant return.I am talking a Ricky Williams type trade.

The problem is he's 30 or soon to be, has a big cap number, and is splattered all over ESPN and NFL Network being a total dickface, the market might not be huge for him.

Passing league the best WR available?

have you seen what they offered some ****** Wrs in the offseason?

I dunno man, one way to find out...

We will not get anything in a trade that will make this team better than we are with AB. Letting him walk if it doesn’t unequivocally make us a better team would mean no remote chance of another super bowl until who knows when. Well after Ben is gone for sure.

How many SBs have the Steelers made with him starting?

There is also something known as addition by subtraction. May very well be the case here.

Are you sure about that. I just got done watching James Jones(NFL Network) and his sources that he has in Pittsburgh. absolutely ripped Ben for this. said he threw AB under the Bus this year, calls him out in meetings, told them to get AB out of the drill because he ran the wrong route, and other bullshit. if I could have punched him in the face I would have. how this is Bens fault, I'll never no

If that were true you would think the rest of the team would be sticking up for AB. Apparently they are not.
