I know I'm with the minority here but I actually like Canada. Watching the all-22 films after games you kinda see that it's more execution of the play than it was the play calling, there was atleast 1 WR always getting open but throwing to the first check down every play really hindered the whole play. Once the O-line and Najee started playing better everything started clicking. Now returning everyone on offense with another year under thier belt I think this offense is going to take off. And jet sweeps will be alot more effective to Austin than they were to Claypool and Gunner this time around.

What are the realistic expectations for the offense with Matt Canada returning next year? We saw the offensive line go from a bottom-five group to middle of the pack. I would have to say I would want to see the offensive production in terms of PPG raise by 10-12 spots next year and it has to be lead by the passing game, IMO.

All top-12 passing offenses in the divisional round and a lot of very bright offensive minds in this group along with young QBs. Purdy should not be doing what he's doing. Hurts, Lawrence, and Jones all made huge steps in part after coaching changes were made. By keeping him, Tomlin is endorsing his offense can compete with these types of teams next year.



For reference, the Ravens (21) were the only team not in the top-15 passing offense to make the playoffs.

Earlier this year I broke down the past like 20 Super Bowl championships… it was as you think… run D and rushing rarely mattered… passing and pass d mattered

You can win the way Tomlin is trying to, but its low percentage stuff… keep it close and pull out a win in the end… but Pickett isn’t Roethlisberger … he had a couple great comeback wins, but I am not sure that is how you want to consistently try to win…

No idea what it is… speculation ranges from illness ( hope not) to family issue to potentially looking at leaving, but no absolute certainty

Tomlin can say its family related. No one will fault him if it is. That sucks. He can stay if its health related. That is bad news too. But if it is career related ( another team or the media ) well that is a different story as he is under contact with the Steelers. Yet he chooses to keep us guessing? Why?

Doesn't really sound like any coaching changes are coming as myself and most thought. This is from Dulac's chat today.

Okay so it's not family related or health related. That is good news. What did he have to attend? A legal issue in court? A " personal matter " that pulled him away from his job?

That’s part of the problem, TOMLIN is who should be held accountable, but it seems he always has a built in excuse.

No accountability for a long long time now, so why would he get it now / then.?

Tomlin is who brought back O’Canada. It could pan out as I hope for the best, but accountability has to happen sooner or later.
