According to multiple reports, Coaching staff changes are on hold due to a HCMT “personal issue”

Pickett celling is rather low. Purdy is an example of a good rookie QB. Tomlin & Canada raising the bar 10-12 spots? I doubt it. Next season Pickett needs to prove a lot.
I was not a fan of the pick immediately. That is a fact.

Where in the Sam Hill did you pull this genius comment from???

Purdy will be back on the bench once their QB1 returns.

Purdy is an example of a rookie QB with a huge amount of talent at all 3 phases of the game around him

Plus Purdy took care of things before the season. I read he hired a QB GURU and re-invented his footwork & mechanics to PRO-style. Also added 5mph to his throwing speed. Those are the kinds of things that PROs do to help themselves out. Granted each individual needsw to determine the type of help they need, James Harrison is an example of that. He spent a lot of $$$mulah$$$ on his off-season body.

It's a nice opinion paragraph, but it fails to realize a couple aspects of Tomlin's coaching staff:

He retains a lot of older coaches or coaches with ties to Pittsburgh. These coaches are looking for job security and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the only team in the league that offers that. The author didn't mention if those coaches could coach, because they are not up to date on the exact people Tomlin employs and are making a blanket statement.

When you have coaches like Mitchell 28yrs, Olsavsky 12yrs, Austin 20yrs, Dunbar 16yrs, Jackson 14, Myers 20, Roberts 18, Sullivan 17, and even Flores 14yrs. Coaches are drawn to Pit for job security. If you're good at your job like LeBeau and Dick Hoke, you have a job for life.

It does say something for a Head coach to be able to manage so many seasoned NFL veterans that I'm sure all have big opinions on how to coach in the NFL.

Um, DLB was more or less forced out here… he should have retired a Steeler.. they wanted to clear a path for Butler… Arians, Erhardt… there are plenty of coaches that wanted to stay but the team wanted to go in a new direction…

I’m convinced that Shades doesn’t like change such that if people didn’t retire, move on, or were forced out by other people in the organization, he would never change anyone on his staff, ever.

Break down the ceilings of both. If you put Pickett in Shanahan's offense how does he look? How does Purdy look in the Steelers' offense?

Or they're drawn to Pittsburgh because after they're fired there are only a limited number of job openings. This team hasn't won a playoff game in six years. Something isn't working.

What’s wrong with three? Mine are:
1. Sn
2. Pornhub
3. Xvideos

Come on Berm don’t be hating on 3s
Actually cooch is a reg over at Steelers planet. So that would take him out of the three equation.

Don’t be so sure of that,……. Some window-lickers can only count to three…………………….

Doesn't really sound like any coaching changes are coming as myself and most thought. This is from Dulac's chat today.

"Avoid Lloyd: Hello Gerry, any truth that the Steelers are putting any possible changes on hold while Tomlin deals with a person matter?
Gerry Dulac: Just so everyone knows, Tomlin's "personal matter" does not have anything to do with him, his health, or his immediate family. It is just something to which he had to attend. He is back in the office. And I also will tell you that any significant decision with his coaches has already been made."
He's just creating drama since Ben is gone and that was Ben's job:
" We are studying the schematics as far as division of labor on how to mete out the drama component. Now that 7 is gone we all have to put a hand in that pile. That includes coaching staff and players, but since it's the offseason I as head coach must accept and acknowledge full responsibilty for that component in this part of our journey."

And this is why I believe James Harrison on Mikey pulling some bait and switch B.S. on him. Tomlin said something like " I won't be at the facility the day they tell me I have to let DLB go." Then of course he ran him off and we had multiple seasons of really bad D (secondary especially) play from Tomlin's Tampon-2 D that can't even stop low flow Sundays.

Mike begs to differ:
"Hungry is a word that I've been analyzing here of late. It's not hunger that drives me, it's not hunger that needs to drive our football team. Hunger and thirst are things that can be quenched. We have to be a driven group, we have to seek greatness." ~ Mike Tomlin

And if we can't seek greatness..... .500 seasons don't sound too bad. LOL....:ROFLMAO:
