All around suck fest

Yep. That's it. So now we have three regular season games under our belt.

While I hear what you're saying, I think he does make a point. I mean you have an entirely new offensive line, they should have all been playing together from the get-go.

At least the ones they knew for a fact they had in place.

I had bad luck with a vizio sound bar and samsung TV.

Same here. That was a few years ago so I don't know if they've gotten better, but yeah they were absolute dog ****.

LG makes a great soundbar for the price. Not as good as Bose, but getting pretty close IMO.

I still think Ben can play, but his days of making something out of nothing, at least on a consistent basis, definitely seem to be over.

We also have to remember he was without DJ, JuJu (most of the game) and Claypool looks a bit schizophrenic.

And Ebron would've been gone at 4:01pm EST if it were up to me.

It's like Raiders of the Lost Ark. Every time it comes on, I watch it.
Eh win or lose. I watch it too.
Today was a train wreck. Although I did snooze out at halftime and missed most of the 3rd only to wake up to cincy being up 24-7

Soon you may want to try being black out drunk so you wake up after the game and don't remember a thing.

Lol. I don’t drink much these days. I’m getting old in that the losses don’t bother me much anymore.

It’s just concerning to see a once respected franchise look lost

So last year, we incrementally cringed more through 11 straight wins, waiting for it all to go off the rails. This year, we at least have a glimmer of hope of seeing it get back on track. And yeah, I realize it’s a slim chance, but things like the Oline gelling and Banner getting on the field, Najee picking up steam, Watt, Tuitt, Highsmith, and the rest of the D getting healthy… who knows? They always win the ones they’re supposed to lose, and lose the ones they’re supposed to win. Well as of now, they’re supposed to lose them all. Hunker down and see what happens. We’ve all been here before and survived it.

those that would be happy to lose so Tomlin could be fired are ****** ******* "fans"
Am I Coolie. First off I'm not hoping they would lose. But I do know with 100 percent certainty this team will never do anything great with Tomlin leading it. So who is the better fan? The lemming or the person who doesn't care if they win a few more or less games if it will be the catalyst for real change.

I had bad luck with a vizio sound bar and samsung TV. No matter what the sound would not sync up with the voice. I could only adjust the delay in one direction which was the opposite of what i needed. Couple that with the sound bar popping, randomly freezing up, and finally refusing to turn on it was just a hassle. Now it is a dust collector.

Thanks as I'm about to try and do the same thing. My Visio has been in the box for awhile but will get it out and try this coming weekend. I hope your's was an anomally. Love my Samsung TV.

Salute the nation

If Ebron could catch, he might be something.

So you think we should have played our OL every snap of preseason together? How much did they actually play together in preseason?

You and I know we could lose out and Tomlin's job is safe. Mute point. I don't even worry about it anymore. Though I agree Tomlin's time here expired a few season's plus back.

Still reeling after watching that debacle. Some of my takeaways from the game:

1. It all starts on the line of scrimmage in the NFL. And we were horrible on both sides of it, with the Oline being the winner. Ben has no time to throw at all.... He's getting beaten up badly taking unnecessary hits as he releases the ball. More on Ben coming.

Then on Def, while the injury excuse looms with 2 OLB starters out... I had to watch Mixon run the same cut-back play for 10 yards.... All day. At one point, the Bengals ran 3 straight 10 yard gains. Just incredible.

2. Ben.... Lots of comments about his age and that he's done. I don't agree. Firstly, he does it all the time... But he's playing hurt.... Likely a lot worse than the team is saying. We know he's got the pectoral issue... Try throwing with that... I don't care what side it is.

Secondly, with this Oline, nobody will be effective for long passing. Any qb is going to get beaten up. Add to that, a very poorly designed running game, with virtually no fullback and running out of the shotgun formation all the time. It would also be nice if our Oline could block... But maybe that's asking too much. Should I even go into their mobility?? I don't think we'll ever have to worry about getting called for an illegal man downfield with these statues...

3. I do like our WRs. Injury bug is a killer there. We have a TE that should be cut today. Won't mention names.

4. Matt Canada?? Someone mentioned Fictner might be calling the plays.... And I agree. It looks a lot like last year. There won't be any 30 point performances out of this group. It will be an accomplishment to score 20.

That's it for now.

This is Ben's last year. Enjoy what you can.

I don't want to lose to see Tomlin to the door, but I do want him out the door. I haven't been impressed with him for the last 12 years.

To put it in perspective, Tomlin has now been the Steelers coach as long as Cowher was.

I definitely do not want Tomlin overseeing the post-Ben rebuild, but that is exactly what we're going to get, and it will be complicated by the likelihood of Colbert stepping down soon.

The franchise is at a pivotal point, kind of like it was in the late 1990s.

I told Mrs. Fan yesterday that she is not ready for what we will be like if we repeat the 1980s. It was painful.

In the second quarter I did see Derek Watt on the field. Harris did not follow his block.

Not to be negative Nancy (my ex wife's name, so I go there often) but Harris does not hit the line with force. He seems to like the "dance around in the backfield until something opens up" method. He is big enough to push for a yard or two. I wish he were coached up more on that.

The scary thing is that, from a playoff success standpoint, the Steelers have basically already repeated the 1980s over the past decade, and that was with a legit franchise QB.

It can actually get worse, as the Steelers were actually somewhat competitive in the 1980s.

We could be looking at an extended period of absolute bottom feeding if things are not managed properly over the next few years.

They could very well become what the likes of the Raiders, Jets, Browns and Bengals have been for much of this century.

I hate **** sandwiches, I didn’t order a **** sandwich for lunch...and I damn well ain’t eating a **** sandwich for lunch.

If all we have to serve up on Sundays are **** sandwiches it’s about time to check out...cause that **** sandwich is not edible and I ain’t about to sit down and try to eat **** sandwiches every Sunday.

After over 30 years of not missing a game I’m really struggling to justify sitting down to another shot sandwich next week.

This display was beyond unacceptable

Spot on. Steelers won the SB in January of '80. (I recently watched that game again)

Bradshaw retired after the' 83 season. But, we went to the AFC title game in 84 with Malone. It was downhill after that... With no playoffs until 89. They had the upset in Denver queued up... And Mark Stock dropped that ball in the his chest.... Ugh....

That was the game Merrill Hodge ran like crazy in 1st half, and not so much in 2 ND?

Thanks for the reminder. Those days were painful.
