The Steelers were so bad that our undefeated JH football team asked our Coach to scrimmage them. We would have beat them. Thanks for the reminder. Those days were painful.

This is the money post. I agree completely.Other than Ebron being shown the door, I have no problem with the WR's, and I believe Ben still has some tire on his treads.
Tough to get any meaningful separation he's forced to throw the ball within 2 seconds or end up on the ground.
Until this o-line gels, if they ever do, performances like this will continue, and it will only be a healthy defense winning games for us.
Not Ben, Tomlin, Canada, or Najee , Patrick Mahomes wouldn't succeed with this current line.
Mark Stock. He was almost erased from my memory. Till nowSpot on. Steelers won the SB in January of '80. (I recently watched that game again)
Bradshaw retired after the' 83 season. But, we went to the AFC title game in 84 with Malone. It was downhill after that... With no playoffs until 89. They had the upset in Denver queued up... And Mark Stock dropped that ball in the his chest.... Ugh....
Agreed. Ebron is badYES!!! Cut Ebron...sadly I’d rather see the upgrade of Gentry or Rader, that’s how bad he is.
Ben sucks right now, but if you're implying that replacing him with Mason Rudolph alone is going to yield 2 or 3 more wins for this team, then you're high as a ******* kite.It all depends on what they want to get out of the rest of this season. If Ben and this offense continue at their current pace, Rudolph is going to give the team the best chance to win. However, do they really want to finish 8-9 when they may only win 5-6 games with the offense playing as it is right now?
I'm implying that I think starting Rudolph would produce more than 14.3 PPG right now--the average offensive PPG since their skid started against Baltimore last season. NFL QBs simply have to be able to move. Rudolph isn't fleet of foot, but he isn't going to have cement blocks on his feet like Ben does.Ben sucks right now, but if you're implying that replacing him with Mason Rudolph alone is going to yield 2 or 3 more wins for this team, then you're high as a ******* kite.
Oh, OK. I could've sworn that you said we don't want the Steelers to finish 8-9 with Rudolph instead of winning 5 or 6 games with Ben. I don't disagree that Ben is immobile; I just don't think Rudolph is going to fare any better. And the point is moot -- they're not going to pay Ben 26 million dollars this season (and another 10+ in dead cap next season) to sit on the bench if he's healthy enough to play.I'm implying that I think starting Rudolph would produce more than 14.3 PPG right now--the average offensive PPG since their skid started against Baltimore last season. I hear your point! You and I know we could lose out and Tomlin's job is safe. Mute point. I don't even worry about it anymore. Though I agree Tomlin's time here expired a few season's plus back.
I can see where you read it that way. It was more of the way the offense is now (no matter who the QB is) will struggle to win 5-6 games. Even if they get on a hot streak, it is tough to see this team winning 8-9 games, which at this point would probably be a detriment to the rebuilding process.Oh, OK. I was thinking that Ben is probably worried more about building a HoF resume at this point. After his Shovel pass TD on Sunday, he was Uber excited and pretty animated about it. Obviously the goal is another Ring to add to that resume, but I really feel his perceived motivation is selfish and misguided. When he won in 2005, he did it for Jerome. I don't see anyone rallying for Ben.Once Ben gets his 400th let’s try something fun in this wasted season and have a revolving door at starting QB...it’s your job until you don’t score on a drive, then next man up.
At least opposing teams would have to prepare for something haha haha
That was the game Merrill Hodge ran like crazy in 1st half, and not so much in 2
Hoge had 120 yards that day...Noll had an excellent game plan for Denver. That was the game Merrill Hodge ran like crazy in 1st half, and not so much in 2 ND?
