All time 25 best players in NFL history

Three 49'er's are on the list.
Initially I thought that seemed unfair with the Steelers having a wing at the HOF, but they were great players indeed and I'm not sure which other Steeler would deserve a spot. Maybe none.

As long as you put an ** next to Bradys name.

Joe Green should be top 10 at least
While I admire Brady the passer. I do not admire cheating by him ,his team and coaching staff. It's dishonorable.

The current rules of engagement are so slanted it would be impossible for me to put him above great quarterbacks of the past who got the **** beat out of them. Their wideouts and tight ends had to pay dearly for every catch, and you really had to be a tough sob going over the middle.

No way in hell he produces those statistics playing in the 70's into the 80's. He would be fortunate to make it 10-12 years.

John Elway / Dan Marino

over

Bradshaw / ROETHLISBERGER

No validation for this list. Joe Greene at #12 is laughable and sad.

I won’t even acknowledge the cheater with the RED_HOT poker sticking out of his asZ.

Steel curtain 70’s era could all be top 10

Green
Lambert
Ham
Blount
Russell

Watching old games they were all proficient
No, thats grossly overrating them. Lambert and green could... Blount or Woodson could be top 25... other greats from the steelers might be top 100, but not top 25

Also Id take Franco or several other RBs over Emmitt Smith...

They could be but they can’t. With a list of only 25 you'd be leaving a lot of deserving players out.

If I were to squeeze in another Steeler, it would be Mike Webster.
There are no centers on the list and he was the greatest to ever play.

And to say that another is deserving of the top 25 you must be prepared to kick somebody else off.
I looked at two top ten linebacker ranking lists and neither had Lambert higher than 4.

Lawrence Taylor, Lewis and Butkus. Ranked higher in each.

Then there's Mike Singletary, who isn't even on this list of 25.

Agreed but Ronnie Lott was amazing to watch. I think he is my favorite non Steeler
As much as I wanted to hate the ’Niners, they had great players. I would think that Joe Montana might be voted the most popular player outside of anyone on the team you vote for,I mean who didn’t like Joe? Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott….same thing. They were a great team to watch. Plus Bill Walsh.
While Emmit Smith had a long good career,I would replace him with the wife killer. OJ was a great player. Mel Blount not on the list is a joke. I guess a lot would disagree, but I thought James Harrison was every bit as good as Ray Ray.
Horse Face on the list is a joke as well. Yes Elway was good. But top 25 of all time good?
My favorite non Steeler player of the time Earl Campbell wouldn’t even sniff that list. But I consider him one of the best RB’s of all time.

I think Butkus and Lambert could’ve be interchanged, just my opinion.

Lewis falls into that “never land” of SB murder and playing for rival. He was good, but should he even have had
the chance to play ???

Just a thought provoking tidbits.

AMEN on the James Harrison, many don’t look at his greatness, similar in a way of how some view Ben R., but have you not BOTH were very very good !!!!

Lampert was my bad, tired as hell.

T5ink is bulky fingers (I have finger issues on both hands so I have to type with 3-5 total fingers and get going to fast and will hit two keys or even miss a key).

I know you’re imitating a HERO of yours’ but I felt you needed a little explanation.

Carry on good SIR.

EDIT: My dad (rest his soul) worked for a lumber yard company called Lampert Lumber, so for 36 years that was a factor.

Usual list. Whatever. some I agree, some I disagree (Dion Sanders). Leather Helmet guy was ridiculous. The speed corner route wasn't even considered. He was a guy ahead of his time playing against pylons in coverage. Even a guy in the 70s would be wide open on every play. With about a 94% completion per target ratio. Once you pick the obligatory leather helmet guy it shouod open it up to the plastic helmet one bar guys who clearly get overlooked. He was the best wing T guy.in the league.

Troy, Woodson and Watt

Mahommes being on the list automatically invalidates it.

How many QBs have been to four Superbowls, winning three, while winning multiple league MVPs?

Young career or not, he's already had more of an impact on the game than the vast majority of QBs have had.

I have no issues with him already being ranked that highly. He's clearly on the GOAT path.

The amazing thing about Mahomes is that he was basically the best QB in the league from the moment he took the field. There was no progression or transition period.

He's basically Dan Marino with the rings.

Troy is every bit the player Lott was.

Troy was great, but I'm not sure I'd go that far, as Lott was Allpro at both CB and S and was an ironman from a durability perspective.

The one thing about Troy was that he had a relatively short prime when one considers all the seasons he had that were affected by injuries.

Even in his MVP season in 2010, he experienced an Achilles issue late in the season that hurt his performance in the playoffs.
