Already dreading next season

going to be there vs Oakland aND sf

Can´t wait for the Seattle game. Time to kick their arrogant ***** again!

I´m not afraid of next season - this season has shown some improvement, and if that is any kind of trend, we´re good!

Totally agree. Not only am I not "dreading" next season, I'm excited to see what changes will come upon us, how the coaching staff will shake out, what new influx of talent we will see via FA and the draft. I'm excited about each and every offseason. This one, following an 11-5 finish, will actually be much easier to stomach than the past two 8-8, non-playoff years.

This run to the playoffs has guaranteed more of the same next year. Really losing interest. "Steeler football" doesn't mean **** anymore.

I'm dreading the next draft as we reach for another overrated linebacker or tight end, a no-name QB, a 5' 7" 160 lb return specialist, a punter, and a 5' 9" corner in the 7th round - who will be cut in training camp.

We will be 10-6 or 11-5 again and lose in the first round or two of the playoffs, thereby assuring a lengthy contract extension for Coach Cool Shades.

Not even that good. With the long road trips, this collection of players and coaches will finish no better than 7-9.

Mr Tomlin made it to the playoffs. That's an improvement. I am hoping they draft 3-4 defensive players this year and we pick up some secondary help rather than another 165LBS running back. If we can make it to the playoffs with the bear of a schedule the team has this coming season I would say Mr Tomlin may have earned back the right to be called coach again.

I agree but thus far Tombert has shown virtually no ability to evaluate and draft decent defensive players. Cam Heyward came on nicely this year and Bryce McCain may be the real deal but that's about it. As I said a while ago, they should bid Coach LeBeau farewell and also apologize for drafting him **** players for the past 8 years.

Timmons and Woodley were drafted by Tombert.
everyone's favorite Keenan Lewis was, too
William Gay
Mr Glass Shazer
Tuitt seems to be progressing nicely

And don't forget McCullers. From what I've seen this season, he overpowers whomever is against him. Just a matter of being coached and learning the finer points of the position. I think he's going to be a beast.

That is always the big "IF"they make that jump from the rookie year. I really hope they bust *** in the off season.

You'll have another year also. What can we expect from the quotes of the week?

The arrow is obviously pointing up with more positivity on the horizon.

Ask yourself this....when was the last time you were this excited about three rookies at the end of a season...as is the case with Shazier, Tuitt and Bryant? When were you this excited about a three-headed MONSTER on O with Ben-Bell-Brown, who virtually led the league at all three positions? Throw in a few spare parts - such as the development of McCullers, stability on Oline w Munchak - what is there not to be excited about going into this offseason? I foresee a change at DC, with the legendary Dick LeBeau taking a bow...and the influx of new talent across the board. I see us at the 2/3rd point in completely rebuilding the 08 SB squad, and still have Ben to lead the way for at least the next five years. That last 1/3 will be the scope and direction of a new DEFENSE that brings back the HURT on that side of the ball. I think we're only a few missing pieces away; a couple of big, tough, hard-hitting OLB's is what's missing. I think we're much closer - than we realize - to being were we need to be.

I think if we find a couple of serious pass rushers, and one or two DBs, we will be poised nicely. My concern is talent evaluation. ........ and development of our young players.

Tomlin has done a poor job in 8 years of drafting pass rushers and DBs, I'm sure he can find four of them for next year he has just been playing possum all along.

He needs to let someone else punch the card on the LBs&DBs then.

Tibs, Nice post and a great reminder of where we been and where we are going. I am one of those guys that has been doom and gloom but reading this makes me feel better. We have something that we have never had before and that is a powerful offense add some promising young talent on both side and the arrow can only point up, jmo. Karma coming your way.......

I think Ike and Troy are done. Keisel was playing fine until he got hurt but again, he's a year older and they didn't want him this year either until they realized that the jabronis they drafted weren't any good. Deebo was clearly their second-best LB and if they're smart they ask him to come back at least in a part-time role but that might be his decision more than the team's. I can't see them keeping Worilds, he simply did not earn his check, and someone else will overpay him.
Shazier and Spence may come on, I hope, but I think Jarvis should go the way of Ziggy and simply not be offered another contract.
Cortez has them in cap hell so I don't think they'll cut him but again, I let him walk when his contract is up. Head case, probably a great practice player and sucks in games, kind of the DB version of Lameass Sweed.

2014 AFC North Division Champs............and we got sourpuss' aplenty....we are either extremely spoiled, or have unrealistically high expectations or just plain fickle.

I dont see how some of you can ever enjoy a season of football.....ever...........glass is always half empty...or leaking
