That's true. The media loves Bruce because he wears a Kangol and has charisma, but the fact is, he gets his QBs killed. By design, he doesn't believe in blocking anybody. Arians schemes way too often invite quick pressure from the defense. Guys coming unblocked.

His offense is built on sending everybody into routes and the QB has to make a quick read and get rid of the ball.

That sound great on paper, but in real life, it's not always possible to make the correct read that quickly, unless you're Brady and you already know what the defense is running before the snap because your team cheats.

The result is QBs take a bunch of big hits. It doesn;t always show in the sack totals either because Arians QBs will take big hits after getting rid of the ball due to a guy coming unblocked.

Lots of people think Jameis will have a big fantasy season this year because he can throw the deep ball and he has Mike Evans and Chris Godwin who are both good deep threats. Sound good on paper. But in real life, Jameis will take a beating this year. His stats may end up looking good though.
 
Arians was pissed off last night as the Clowns sacked Winston 5 times in the first half last night and punished him on about 10 other attempts.

Life is so short. Just us about all of us would pay anything to get our health back if we lost it. What amount of money is worth the very real chance that continuing to play will damage your health and reduce your quality of life? Luck made the right choice.

What a Millennial *****! If he's not then there's some other serious underlying condition like MS or ALS. The guy couldn't handle the game at the next level! So he's had injuries....suck it up kid! He really screwed his entire team over with this decision 2 weeks before the start of the season! I feel bad for Colts fans.....never saw this coming!

Luck is a text book example of how important a quality offensive line is. And also how important it is to not draft a San Fran *****.
 
I have a lot of respect for Luck, the way he manned-up, stood in front of the world and gave a brutally honest retirement speech. Too few people are willing to face their fears and inner demons and end up going through life miserable. You can't fault anyone for being honest with themselves and doing what feels right. He gave it his all over the years, put his hand in the pile and did whatever he could for the team. He showed plenty of respect to the Colts and his teammates, you could tell he truly cares for them and the pain he felt by walking away from the game he loved. Every path is different, every player has a different trajectory. Luck has been banged-up four years straight, the constant injury > rehab > injury > rehab cycle became untenable. Just couldn't get his body - and mind - right to compete at the highest level. Colts fans - and NFL fans - taking potshots at him couldn't be more wrong. Bon voyage Andrew Luck, hope it's clear sailing from hereon.

Easy to get misperceptions about Luck. Injuries can be misleading especially when an organization constantly tries to underplay them. They really did him no favors. I wish him nothing but the best and hope his injuries heal fully. So that he may enjoy a happy and healthy life. The talent level was there but if you are injury prone I could see that frustration could follow. How many times has injuries in life roadblocked us from accomplishing something? Venom toward bad behavior I get. But venom toward a man that just had a run of bad luck? Not a good look.

Two thoughts.

1 ) Luck, you just can't do this to a team. You do this in the off season, not the 3rd game in the pre-season.

2 ) Our chances of trading Dobss just went up.

What he had a crystal ball knowing that his injuries would linger? Perhaps he was trying to fight through them?

Then realized that they just weren't responding to treatment.

And that organization knew exactly what was going on, he wasn't throwing a blanket over their head.
