Anybody know of FA tight ends that may be available for next year? I'm hoping the Steelers draft all defense. Lol

I'm hoping they draft all defense and 1 running back. I don't think they need a TE until the following year.

only 2 I would target to replace Speath Luke Stocker @ Rob Housler, if we can get eithier let Speath go and maybe BlanchFlower can step in as the #3 te if not you invite Palmer on a 1 yr camp tryout.
draft
S/CB
OT/OG/CB
CB/S
Roos and draft a LT that can be groomed withen 1.5 years.
Also NT Mclendon is a Fa I would retain him and with how much Cam has sucked and the Desiel likely to retire sign a NT like Dan Williams on a vet min deal.

Not sure if this will come out ok but here is the list:

Celek is my choice. He's cheaper than Thomas, and he's a great 2 way tight end.

Celek would be good....I'd love to get Jordan Cameron though.

What in the hell happened to Moeaki in Seattle? Only 7 receptions on the year and has only played in 4 games. Is he hurt or something?

Jordan Cameron is too soft and will probably get a big contract.

I like Heath and Spaeth as blockers. It is tough to find TEs who can block in college. The Steelers need a receiving TE. I'd like to see what Blanchflower has next year along with a drafted TE.

revise
Celek
Stocker
Green
Housler

Brent Celek isn't a FA on that list. The one on the list is from SF and is a restricted FA. Cameron has missed almost two full seasons and is a concussion away from never playing again. No thanks.

A whole lotta nada.

Just draft one -- and hope.

I am no expert and it is very early but just looking at the list there don't look like a lot in this group. Like I said it is early but CBS has there list and it was updated today and they don't even have a TE as a 1st rounder. There are only 4 players listed in the top 3 rounds and one of them is coming off injury(Walford). So much can happen with these guys moving up and down with the bowl games and combine, is there anyone you have your eyes on?

From that list, I'd take Gresham, or Clay.

Damn- can we get one athletic TE? I am tired of these plodders.

Is Jordan Cameron realistic? I would imagine that he is going to have a hefty price tag despite his injury history/

From that list, I'd take Gresham, or Clay.

After watching Gresham make fun of AB's dance I want nothing to do with him, however I think Clay is a great under the radar kinda guy. Another guy I would like to looking is Virgil Green, sounds like he is outta Millers mold, blocker 1st pass catcher 2nd.

For pass catching TE's I would like Charles Clay or Niles Paul. Both are very athletic with good hands. For a blocker with some pass catching ability I would say Luke Stocker would probably fit the bill there.

There should be someone who can block and catch a little bit. We have plenty of guys that can catch and run. We need a good blocker that can catch. It would be great if we found someone that is great at both but if we need to choose one go for blocking.

cheap vet in any case, we already have a star TE with a star salary.
