Are we gonna talk about the NFL refs continually cheating for the Chiefs ?

Funny how we can watch the same game and come away with the totally opposite opinion. I watched and think we could be there fairly easily. The Eagles lost their last 6 in a row last year. I am not saying your opinion is wrong just funny how we see it differently.
I wish I could be there with you....but I am not.

I enjoy the optimists here. I commend those who have it.

I have less than zero. This season finally killed, dismembered and buried mine in unmarked graves.
Living in Ohio gives me a better perspective on how good we truly have it despite the current issues. That and we have been to the Super Bowl as many times as we have had losing seasons in my life. 8 trips and 8 losing season in 53 years.

I can understand that, but the Steelers don't have it good. I guess it's good when you compare it to other trash teams. Which i could care less about the other teams and how bad they have it.

The Steelers used to have a different standard, that's become just a slogan now.

They're not good on offense or defense.

If they don't make significant changes, it will not matter who they draft. They're fatally flawed and I've been saying this for a solid 8 years now.

They won't change **** and will fail again and again and again. All of the talk in the world won't fix that madness.

This mentality is why the pats*** curb stomped them in the playoffs and even without Brady this last time at home with as ****** team as they've had in a decade.

I see the problem and so do others. It's long ongoing and pretty clear to see.

I thought on the 3rd down play they got the 1st(TE). Talking heads all over now are saying that he did. Why no replay from NY though? We had a game where they gave us the first on 3 straight plays only to be over turned by NY on every play. And the calls were right I will say. On Allen's 4th down attempt. The far side ref who had view of the football ran in and his spot clearly was giving them the 1st down. The nearside ref who all he could see was Allen's back spots the ball short. Mind boggling really.

Side note. Watching both championship games clearly shows how far behind the elite teams of the NFL we are. Not by a little either. By a very large margin.

The far LJ called it as he saw it……………………..

The near LJ called it the way NY ear-phoned it in to him.

How excited are you about non-losing seasons? To you get up and dance? They mean nothing to me.

Looking at their last several 1st round draft picks, they ain't doing themselves no favors there either.

No, but damn it let me have my hope:cool:. You are all too gloomy. It is the offseason the time for eternal optimism.
You can have all the hope you want. I'm a pessimist by nature and as a result, I view this team through that lens. Well, that, and this team hasn't shown much the last decade or so that would give me much optimism. Plus, Mike Tomlin is still the HC and it appears he is retaining the entire staff that oversaw this seasons' disaster. I could go on, but what would be the point? You know the many issues this team has, and it isn't going to be transformed into a SB caliber roster in one offseason.

I'd say Broncos and Chargers both have better QB's than us, and it's not even close. And Dobbins averaged 4.7 ypc and had 9TD's for the Chargers in 13 games.
I agree I was just giving those 2 because one could make an argument Harris is Better than any Bronco RB and Bo Nix isn't a great QB.
I'd give Harris the nod over Gus Edwards also although they are very similar players, and Dobbins just can't stay on the field.

Fraudlin.....I mean Tomlin has a few I think.🤪
He does , but he is not the one who talks about them. I hear that 80% of the time from his detractors. In reality it is a real accomplishment and not easy to do but at the same time probably the thing more than any that has kept him from winning in the playoffs. It is both a blessing and a curse as it has kept us from better restocking the shelves. While no draft pick is a sure thing, far from it, the higher you pick in each round the higher the chances of succeeding. I commend him for his drive to win but think has suffered for it.

I hear what you are saying.

I’m as opportunistic as near anyone here, but I am willing to forgo the success if it would mean CHANGE IN COACHING PERSONEL, including HC.

You may not have meant it this way, but in your own statement of success you have also pointed to Coach Tomlin only being able to taking us this far. He has peaked.

PS This isn’t a coach Tom Lin thread.

Has anyone read about the SB boycotts trying to gain traction. It’s due to the favoritism of the Chefs and officiating calls.

Pat McAfee had a segment on his show the other day about the calls going the chefs way. Looked at several plays, not just the recent ones, but also said too many coincidences to not make one think…….

Mad dog has been riding this scenario last couple days. The Blitz / Stein / others.

I haven’t found much on the boycot, just curious if any here knows / read / more about it……….

Unless it’s 3-5 million participants, it will just be a blip on the ratings chart. I don’t see an impact being made.

Now if durring the game, everyone were to shut off or change channels at a designated score-board time, then I could see an impact. Get all the Twits / influencers / IG / all-media / get it to go viral and just maybe there could be an impact.

We can’t let the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor slow this down………… !!!!!

I do, I ran out dancing on my Patio but had forgotten to take off my two remaining EAGLES G-Strings.

I ****-ing dance dressed / near dressed / naked all depends on the celebration.

Also, it doesn’t matter day or night, morning or afternoon, the dancing will happen.

EYEs closed or not, this is real,………………….. so what of it ?????

PS Sometimes at night I leave my motion detector 5000 lumen’s yard light on…………… ****-ing lights things up !!!

There have been way too many examples of a fix being in.

I still think that the 17-1 season for the cheats was because the league knew it would have been too far to go with it all had they won the sb.

The goodell years will be looked back on as garbage.
I'm not so sure the league didn't want them to go 18-0. Just that Tom Coughlin had the good sense to change his signals just for that game so the Belicheat and Adams database was useless.
Either that or Eli Manning is really the GOAT because he beat Br*dy twice in the Super Bowl.

What is YOUR obsession with non-losing seasons?
MY obession? More like Rooney's and Fraudlin's obsession. Its all they shoot for. They think as long as they don't post a losing season, everything is great. Well it's not, not to us thinking fans.

They can cry about the refs all they want, but KC threw a blitz at Allen that he nor their coaches were ready for on the critical down and on offense KC completed a 17 yard pass to a guy that didn't touch the ball all game and was wide open.

Everybody talks about Mahomes and Kelce but KC's defense was balling out.

In the words of Jesse Jackson circa 1984 " We must have hope...not dope!"

Well at this point I feel about the Steelers the way some of the residents of Kensington PA. feel about life: Just frozen in a never ending addicted loop. I'm looking for rehab.
At least poor dude almost got the colors right.

The NFL is nothing more than the WWE. It has been for years, accept it and move on.

I don't think that they have the ability to completely "rig" the games without it getting out. That being said, they DO have and have shown to be able to "officiate" their way to the desired outcomes. Sometimes all it takes is a call here or there, maybe 2-3 a game to give the advantage to the desired winning team. They have been at it so long that trying to hide it isn't even considered any longer. I believe that we are at or approaching peak interest in the games, and will start to see decreased interest in the near future. Their biggest problem is when the Swifties and "Soy Boys" move on to their next interest group, their base will no longer be around to make them relevant.

I have talked about how we as a family used to spend $4-5,000 a year on the NFL directly and indirectly. We have not spent a single dime on the NFL in the past 5-7 years, (other than a few beers at Mile High). I have attended a couple of games in Denver, by using my Brother-in-law's season tickets. If not for that, I would not have attended.

I cannot see that changing any time soon.

We'll see who they draft and what *cough* changes *cough* get made but I'm thinking next season will be Captain Cool Shades first losing season.
There won't be a big step up from the last five games of last season.
