I'm on my phone but the story is pretty long with some Twitter posts implanted so just check it out there.

I happen to agree with him. If the Steelers aren't playing how many of you are even watching? It was great when o was in college and didn't have a job - I could go drink and watch the game but now its just annoying to have to call off when the Steelers are playing and usually the NFL screws the fans with a night game in December. Now it seems like the home team always wins and they keep putting the divisional games on Thursday night cause those are usually the rivals and high profile games.

I don't like them either. It is a huge disadvantage for both teams, and the short turnaround time can't help if they really give a damn about player safety.

I dont like them. Especially early in the year. Thanksgiving day tradition aside, i wish we didnt have them at all. Have 3 games on turkey day and then some saturday games after that would be ok.

I wrote this elsewhere. A study was done, and since 1990, considering Monday/Sunday games, the home team wins 58% of the time (or 54%) - forget which, but it was one of the two.

Thursday Night Football home teams win close to 80% of the time. It's just too much to ask a team to play Sunday, heal and practice Monday/Tuesday, travel and practice Wed, and be prepared and healthy enough to play on Thursday. It's a DISTINCT advantage for the home team, which essentially gets an extra day to prepare on a short week.

The NFL won't care unless the ratings go in the toilet.

I haven't watched any game except the Steeler/Raven game. And I turned that one off after the BS personal foul call on Mitchell.

I have similar feelings towards Sunday & Monday games, and let's not forget Saturday playoff games.

It might be a huge inconvenience for both teams but it can't be a disadvantage for both.
I like any primetime game but seldom stay up to watch if it's not a Steelers game or watch at all if it doesn't have some kind of implication.
As far as player safety, **** em, do something else for a living if you're concerned about your safety.

I don't like any night games, especially Thursday night. Besides having to stay up late, it isn't competitive and even though I don't care much about fantasy, it screws with me setting up my roster and making my weekly picks. I barely watch the games.

I am now getting my foot ball news here and at the steelers site. Very few games on TV this year so I do not watch. I could drive 90 miles to a steelers bar and watch but it is not worth it to me any more. The team and the game have become less interesting to me of late, I enjoy the free time. Previously I can not think of a game I missed in the last maybe 10 years? Rodger and the zebras have worked hard to kill football for me it looks like they are beginning to succeed. It is also a reflection of the product hitting the field of late. The team that is being fielded by the Rooney's in the last few years seems to be one based on nothing but revenue generation. They are fielding a team and that is about it. To travel to a Steeler bar and watch the game will typically cost me around 100 dollars a week and I am just not interested enough to do that now. So thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts and views with me they are appreciated.

You don't have a buffalo wild wings or anything you within 90 miles??

The performance of the road team is often abismal to say the least...the home team has outscored the road team by large margins that last couple seasons. TNF sucks but the league wants ratings. They should remain on Sun and Monday

I dislike thursday night as much as anyone. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN Friday night. Would make more sense, if you think about it. Even still, the NFL is shrinking in my presents. I've lost a lot of interest, FF is/has taken over. Commish / media / players / owners / etc., all contribute to the soiled product. Just doesn't have the appeal it use to have. I drive a couple miles to a bar, been doing so for 12-14 years, watch the game, eat, costs me about $12.oo I leave a $20 / tip all is good. Seems like I go as much for the Comroterie as I do the game. It use to not be like that, game 1st. I don't have regular TV, only a streamer / netflix, so I ONLY get most my steelers fix here. Life's a smile.

In other words, you're basically an Amish football fan.

If your happy that's fine but I'm with steelerfan. You don't have a bar or sports bar or BUF WILD WINGS ANYWHERE close to you ?

Just adding to the chorus -- I'd rather they not play any Thursday night games at all. The games are rarely competitive and I can't stay up that late on a work night. I can't really understand why they'd want to do Thursday night. Saturday night makes more sense, but I guess that interferes with college football.

I despise Thursday night games.

I enjoy the games on Thanksgiving and used to like the few weeks of Saturday football.

Fantasy and over saturation has ruined this league with Roger's help of course.

In other words, you're basically an Amish football fan.

Well if Amish is to poor to afford regular TV, or if Amish is going through some tough life experiences, or if Amish is trying to make a go of things, or if Amish is not drinking, or if Amish is miserable enough to relay on this message board for steelers news, or if Amish is putting up and laughing with the likes of you, THEN yes I am an Amish football fan..........

I've said this before on here.

I wish ALL games were on sunday. No advantages for any team. Not a fan of Monday or Thursday night games. Don't care for Sunday night either, but if they want a primetime game then do it on Sunday night.

All games in the afternoon would be ideal. I enjoy the chaos of a bunch of games at one time.

Hate Thursday games. Only way they should ever be played is having two teams coming off a bye.

1pm Sunday. Done.
