Around the league...WTF is going on?

If that were true then you wouldn't have 0-5 teams like Jax. You wouldn't have a 13-3 Seahawks team last year. Or a 13-3 Broncos team last year. The games would be more even but they aren't. If everyone has a 50/50 chance to win then you'd have a few 10-6 teams with no one winning 13+ games. But that isn't what is happening. You have teams like Oakland who have been outscored by 52 points. Then you have the worst team in the league like Jax who have been outscored by a whopping 102 points. These teams are horrible, as NFL teams go.

I never said everyone has a 50/50 shot, I said week in and week out, everyone has a decent shot. Even the 0-5 Jags which is why they jumped on the Eagles early in week 1 but couldn't hang on, played San Diego tough for the first half, and were in this game yesterday till the end. Also, only 5 weeks in and there are no unbeatens left. When's the last time that happened, if ever?

Since we are calling bullshit...
The "great" Glennon? I said he was better than Josh McCown, I said that he showed promise last year as a rookie. I didn't twist anything there, you did.

"Tampa has no one that matches what the Steelers have" You are the only one in the world interpreting that in the way that you mean it. I don't even understand the point of that statement since offenses don't square off against each other. You kept saying take the best of this and the best of that and compare... COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that a number 2 WR is still a STARTING WR. So take your pick, Mike Evans/Vincent Jackson (since there is debate on who is better) vs Wheaton. You said take their best OL, really? So tackles and guards are equal here, we can't compare each individual position along the line? I'll make it even easier, quick who is our best OL?

You're STILL trying to spin things.

I wasn't puffing up the Steelers opponents to make us look better, that's just you assuming you know things. I was pointing out that they weren't the worst team in the league. I fully understand that we don't have great odds this year. Our defense is a mess, our offense is inconsistent, and penalties are killing us. But forgive me for talking a little bit of football from a different point of view. One where every team that beats the Steelers isn't the worst team in the league. Someone else pointed it out, before the Carolina game we were going to get killed, their D was going to stop us completely. After the game, Carolina really isn't that good.

And who the **** said anything about New England having an easy schedule? Talk about adding **** in... keep spinning. I just called you out on your bullshit, you just make **** up.

More bullshit from you. I'd rather have Wheaton/ Brown than Evans/ Jackson. You know good and well what I was talking about but you couldn't stand it so you had to twist my words. Typical for you. You can take any team and have 1 player that is better than another team. Which is why I said "There is no one on the TB team that can match up with what the Steelers have on offense". They don't have anyone that can match Ben, Miller, Brown or Bell. But instead of just accepting the point you ******* go off on your typical spin and bullshit.

I talked about pats* first off because it is a message board and I'll post whatever the **** I want too sunshine. LOTS of people have talked about NEs "easy" division. Now those people want to say there are no easy games. Can't have it both ways. FACT is that TB is 1-4 (I know that kills you) with a 5-11 QB and Jax is 0-5 with a rookie QB. They shouldn't even be in games with the talent the Steelers have. But there it is. Keep grasping at those straws and making a fool out of yourself.

It happened week 5 of 2010... Maybe you should look things up before you post?

Thanks, which is like I said, the play has been like this for several seasons now. Just because Insanti is pissing you off for whatever stupid internet reason, doesn't mean you have to act like a dick to everyone else. Maybe you should take a break from the keyboard.

Not acting like a dick. You post that "maybe it's never happened" then I tell you that you can look this up because it happens often. Sorry if I upset you.

And there you are spinning AGAIN. Lets spell this out EASILY. Brown is the best receiver of the group, we ALL agree on that. But Wheaton is our other starting WR, so take your pick between Jackson and Evans on which is better, then put the OTHER one up against Wheaton. You think Evans is their best, so Brown over Evans, but Jackson over Wheaton. But you have to add in Brown to make it the tandem like we can't compare one without having both... ANOTHER twist from YOU!

No one mentioned the Pat's easy schedule in THIS thread, they were barely talked about at all. But you keep latching onto that Tampa argument, and argument where you are making **** up. It doesn't kill me that Tampa is 1-4. What kills me is people like you who can read (never said Tampa was good, EVER), you have to make **** up just to argue. I'm not the one making a fool of myself, you keep adding stuff in, and I keep PROVING that you do, and you keep going. Just change your name to spin cycle and be done with it.

More bullshit. Why do I have to pick when it wasn't what I was talking about? You want to change what I was talking about to fit your agenda. Well **** off. I said exactly what I meant. I don't need you twisting my words. I said what I said. Don't like it? Tough ****. You're wanting to argue something I never said. But keep reaching for those straws and looking more ignorant. It fits you well.

This thread talked about several teams. I'll talk about whatever the **** I want too. Don't like it? Too ******* bad. You keep avoiding the TB argument because it kills your "they aren't that bad" bullshit you keep spewing. You didn't have to say they were good. They "just aren't as bad" is the mantra now. Whatever the **** that means. They are 1-4 and Jax is 0-5. Two bad teams that ignorant people like yourself try to prop up to show the Steelers lose wasn't that bad. It's bullshit and you know it. But keep spinning and talking out of your ***. You're good at that.

Again, bullshit. I'm not avoiding anything. And you are the one picking and choosing and adding things. I've obviously struck a nerve with you. You know I'm right, the people reading these posts know I'm right. Man I would LOVE to meet you in person, just to watch your head explode when you know you're wrong. It's pretty entertaining online, I can only imagine the visuals of it in person. I'm thinking something along these lines?

I'm so in your head that you had to put me in a thread that had nothing to do with me. Everyone can tell you can't stop thinking about me. But you're so full of yourself you can't help it. You're just a childish little man with "issues". You remind me of a certain politician that is out of his depth but has to make up **** because he isn't smart enough or wise enough to do the right thing. I'm sorry you can't handle being wrong. Maybe another stint in therapy or 4th grade will help you with your "issues".

I haven't made anything up, you on the other hand.... you're a joke. I can handle being wrong, when I'm wrong. This is not one of those times.

Of course not sunshine. You made up the entire issues about me saying that every single player on the Steelers is better than the TB players. You're the joke here. You can't handle it so you stoop to your childish Gifs and rants. Like a 3 year old that isn't getting enough attention by their mommy. ******* loser.

It didn't used to "happen often." It happened this year and in 2010. Before that? 1970, a 40 year span. It's now happened twice in the last four years because of what is essentially becoming a watered down product.

Sorry but you are wrong again. 1987 and 1982 it happened week 5. If you look a little more broader then you'll see:

2002: week 6
2001: week 7
2000: week 9
1999: week 8
1997: week 8
1996: week 6
1995: week 6
1994: week 8

And so on and so forth. Mostly it's even all threw the years.

82 and 87 were strike shortened. 82 started with two games in September and then didn't pick up again until late November where they eventually only played 9 games total. 87 had 15 total games but three of the weeks, weeks 4 through 6, were played with replacement players. So the point still stands, aside from 1970, '10 and '14 were the only seasons in which there were no undefeated teams this early in a season.

******* gold I tell ya, ******* gold. Clearly I've struck a nerve. Rants? Coming from you? Priceless! I didn't make **** up, if you meant something else, you're the only one that understood what it was. Everyone else took it like it read. I'll post my "childish" gifs, you keep slinging these pathetic insults.

Back on topic... can someone please remind me why the Eagles just cut DeSean Jackson? He catches a 60 yard TD pass, you would think they might shift the safety over to his side a bit. Nope, next catch? 57 yards. 5 catches 157 yards and a TD.

Yep and even though they are winning I think they miss his presence. McCoy is finding his running lanes limited. They've also had Oline injuries too.

And Foles hasn't looked as good so far this year, they've been bailed out by Sproles twice, and saved by Special teams twice.

Going to be a good game between the G-men and Eagles this week. Manning is playing better and their running game is pretty good. They lost Jennings but Williams looks like a good back.

It's called "parity". Any given Sunday. Unless you're Belicheat, the Pats*, and a cameraman.

Strike seasons still count in the records. But you still aren't averaging anything. Why is week 5 the Holy Grail? What about the undefeated pats* just a few years ago. NO team had ever gone 16-0. GB was 13-0 a couple of years ago. Why is week 5 so important? There are a ton of week 6-9 losing teams. Why is one more week that important especially since the league started having Bi-weeks? It doesn't prove anything.

well, if you consider that the Bucs only scored 39 points in their two games under the direction of McCown, prior to their Thursday night debacle/blowout, and have since scored 58 points in their two games with Glennon at QB (and without their BEST WR, at that) - and 72 total under his guidance, the stats don't lie unless you want them to.
