As I watched New England last night from play one have an attitude on everything they did from on the field plays to the sidelines hype, I ask what happened to the Steelers attitude? A lot is said about Tomlin, has he been the one that has caused the non identity the Steelers have had in the last three years and what happened to the attitude, we are not going to be pushed around. I can't stand the Pats or Brady but watching their actions they have an attitude and they were not going to lose that game no matter what. I watched them get in the officials face get in the Bengals face and they didn't care what anyone thought. I personally miss that in the Steelers. Yesterday was a game you would have thought the team would be tired of all the negative talk and came out and blew a winless team out of the water. We pulled the game out on the interception. What has happened?

I wish people would make up their minds. We suck we are garbage but yet we are supposed to blow out teams every week. I guess next week we should stomp Cleveland too. Never mind that Cleveland is playing pretty good.

The evil Cheatriots, having a rough start to the season, beat up the undefeated Bungles and seemed to demonstrate that they meant business. Impressive, and may signal a change in their season's trajectory. *pats fans would find this game hopeful/inspiring.

The Steelers, having a rough start to the season, eked out a win over the winless Jags, helped ably by a timely pick 6 gifted by a rookie QB in his first start. More of the same, but this week the Steelers got lucky. Steeler fans would find it hard to grasp positives from this game, thankful for the W.

Dude, you're living in the past. This is the kinder, gentler Steelers. Wish I could find that locker room video with Peezy and Bussey firing up the team. Many of us are looking for that fire and energy.

Of course, a win is a win, got it. When was the last time you got pumped watching this team?

Every Sunday...

Every Sunday I get excited watching my team play a game that I enjoy watching.

I feel sorry for those that do not feel the same.

Keep that up and Blount will sucker punch you outside the stadium. :)

I renember when Peezy was called a loudmouth punk. Who got shot in the ***. When Jerome would do his little dance after a nice run and people would say just hand the ball to the ref. Good times

Our own Josh Miller, who spent some time with the Pats* as well, has in the past mentioned that the players are scared as hell of Darth Hoodie.

Hell, wouldn't you be??? Darth has probably got some video on each and every one of his players, stealing candy from a baby or something, and then threatens to go public. I can't stand the hood, but his team's attitude transpired to the steelers, would be an improvement.

Salute the nation

Anyone remember how after getting blown out by the Ravens the Steelers came back and hung one on the Panthers? Or how they went into Cincy last year and beat up the Bengal's? Let's do more than one game for we canonize or demonize. Let's also remember what a QB and competitor Brady is-regardless of how much you dislike him.

Again, another NE thread? This is the 2nd one posted this weekend. **** them and Belicheat, we've wone 2 rings since they were cheating and won their last.

What, did people actually fall for all the media drubbing the Pats* took last week? It was one freaking game. This week they had a national game at home...against a Bengals team that was all too happy to turn the ball over to them. **** changes in this league every week.

We were also getting manhandled the first part of the carolina game. Its not like we came out and kicked their *** from the start. Carolina started to implode and we took advantage of it and broke them down. Also what happened after we "hung one on them." We lost to a winless team at home. I dont think TB is as bad as their record (especially with Glennon), but we should have won that game or at least look more inspired to play. So now we go to win less Jacksonville after a terrible loss starting a rookie QB. The defense played well and won the game, but the offense (which should be carrying the team) scored 10points. The steelers have played 20 quarters of football, and have played 2 good quarters against the browns, 3 good quarters against the panthers, and 1 good quarter against TB. That is not going to get it done. The OP is right the steelers do not have the right attitude now and they need a culture change.

I used to feel that way too when it seemed like the 53 on the field felt the same way about playing.

The D gives us our attitude. Since they have sucked for three years now, the attitude has dropped. With Peezy coaching, the LB's seem to have more of an attitude. I also loved the play in the 2nd half where Diesel was coming straight for Broyles and Deebo was right behind pushing his blocker toward the QB.

A win Sunday yes , only because we intercepted a ball late in game not because we out played Jacksonville. I'm talking seeing some kind of fired by anyone on this team. Then I have to hear Tomlin speech how he thought we played good....come on, I love the Steelers but watching the game I did not see playing good. Two offside penalties on the kick off, make a descent play here comes the flag, Brown wasn't smart enough to fall down but goes out of bounds. Good play with attitude did not see.

You don't remember it either because it never happened. The Steelers lost to the bungles in Cincy last year. They beat them at home.

If this team displays any type of emotion or fire, the ****** zebras quickly douse that fire with a personal foul penalty. So its tempered a bit. We cant get in the oppositions grill else we get that "taunting" penalty.

We arent scoring many points because dont execute well inside the red zone and we have quarter droughts (where we goose egg the quarter). That happened vs Tampa and it happened yesterday

Looking back over the season in 20 quarters played so far we have 6 quarters where we didnt score any points. We have 4 where we scored just 3 pts in the quarter. 10 yrs ago we could get by with scoring droughts because we had the defense that kept us in games. Our defense in its current state cannot sustain and this is why is paramount for this offense to score as often as it can. Penalties have killed us on both sides. But Ben has to be sharp, every game............no INTs, No sacks in the red zone, and secure the ball. This team goes as this offense does and that rests on the shoulders of Haley, Ben, Brown, Cheech & Chong and that Oline. Were good enough to hang 30 pts a game...its gonna take that many to assure wins.

True dat about the zebras. It's becoming harder to watch the games like I used to.

I can't remember which game I was watching (might have been the Cowgirls) but there was another BS defenseless WR call. The WR caught the ball and was hit legally by the defender with his shoulder and he knocked the ball out. No where near the dudes head or knees and the defender didn't lead with his helmet. The WR was barely touched, other than the ball being knocked out, and jumped right up after the play. 15 yard penalty. I immediately said (once again) for them to put the skirts and flags on. Seriously, what does a defender do? Not hit the receiver and let him catch the ball and run downfield for a TD? That is the only other option in most of these calls. Goddell has truly ruined the NFL.

This is one of the reasons why the league passes so much more than running the ball..........theres too many good things that can occur on a pass

1)Illegal contact
2) Pass interference
3) Personal foul (defenseless receiver calls or if the hit LOOKS malicious)
or

4) completed pass

All it takes these days is a a good fake on a route to get the db stiff or a double move and contact made and you get a fresh set of downs. If theres jockeying for position on a throw the benefit almost always goes towards the offense. Some QBs purposely throw long in hopes of drawing a flag (Joe Flacco)
