Tough break for the Steelers with Burrow, Jackson, and now Watson in the AFC North. The question now is when they'll join the QB arms race.
If the cost is 3 first round draft picks and $46 million/year I hope the answer is never.Tough break for the Steelers with Burrow, Jackson, and now Watson in the AFC North. The question now is when they'll join the QB arms race.
Next year if it doesn't work out this year.Tough break for the Steelers with Burrow, Jackson, and now Watson in the AFC North. The question now is when they'll join the QB arms race.

The QB contracts are rocketing out of control I'd be willing to bet Jackson gets more than $30 million.I give you Watson and Burrow, but Lamar Jackson is terrible. Frankly, I'd rather have Mitchell Trubisky at $7.1 million per than Lamar Jackson at what is expected to be $30 million per very soon.
Know why the Bungles can afford to spend on the OL and DL? Because Burrow is in his rookie contract. Ben's contract has been a frigging albatross the past five years. Very soon, both the Rats and the Clowns will be burdened with hellacious salary cap hits for the QB.
$30 million is Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan territory. I would think Jackson will safely get more than $30 million. You have EDGE and WRs pushing $30 million now. The cap hit bracket is shifting. The QB contracts are rocketing out of control I'd be willing to bet Jackson gets more than $30 million.
Yep that RB is going to get paid.$30 million is Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan territory. I would think Jackson will safely get more than $30 million. You have EDGE and WRs pushing $30 million now. The cap hit bracket is shifting.
So that leads to the next question. How do we define working out? What level of success do we have to have to reach that goal?Next year if it doesn't work out this year.
Personally good question. Probably would have to be one playoff win I would guess. So that leads to the next question. How do we define working out? What level of success do we have to have to reach that goal?

I would think a winning record and improved offensive play. I don't see a playoff win needed the first year, unless the defense is just that good.Personally good question. Probably would have to be one playoff win I would guess.
More to do with how they view him after a years play.
I for now would lean that they would be looking. And hope to be wrong.
He can flat out pay to get his balls licked maybe.“OK” QB?
Did you really just type that?
I hate the Clowns as much as the next guy.
But DWat can flat out BALL.
Instantly best QB in our division and Clowns have actual real franchise QB for a decade.

Here is the other beauty of it. Three first round picks. If anyone thinks even a casual fan couldn't pick qb in the first round for the next three years and hit on something as good as Deshaun Watson they are stupid. Pick em till you get it right.
The Browns already traded for Amari Cooper.Who is Watson going to throw to? OBJ and Landry are gone. Peoples-Jones is about all they have at WR, and he is inconsistent at times. Gonna be interesting to see, anyway.
Have you stopped to think that maybe he didn't want to be here? Knowing the QB situation here vs. playing with Mahomes....hello...I didn’t want Watson on the Steelers. I wanted him in the NFC, not having to face him twice a year. And I think it’s utter bullshit that we couldn’t get a deal done with a guy that has been a fan-favorite and hard worker since he got here. Especially after coming back last year. Lame.
