Baker pays 3.5 million to leave for Carolina

Care less about Baker but in all reality, it reminds me of Ben being the scapegoat last two year by our organization and many fans. Browns paid millions for a bad character guy that was not a winner in Houston the last year he played. Mayfield even by his coach admittance played hurt and how all forgot even with all the rumblings on Browns team he took them to playoffs. The Browns have taken a big hit in social media world by this signing of Watson, yet Mayfield gets all this negative press.

Well said, BEN was blamed for everything even by the biggest cancer on the team YET always received the negative press, why was that???

I could care less of the Browns and baker dozen but with his departure it looks like Mr. Dobbs may get a shot. I hope he takes advantage of it, not against us though.

They already gave up three firsts in 2022, 2023, and 2024 in addition to a 3rd and4th round pick. No can do buddy.

The point was you think can get I can get them two firsts. Not for the Browns, thanks dimwit. However if Mayfield was never a Brown the possibility for trade like this can not be ruled out. They spent the first overall pick on him, which is more than two generic first round picks.

I just hope he has a great pre-season allowing us to try and get a 4th (unlikely) to a 6th (likely) pending on performance (preseason).

You never know until actual field of play but there was an article out about him developing and working on quicker reads and delivery forcing quicker reads. Our QB coach even commented on the difference he can see in Rudy. Maybe we get the improved version to trade because he has a big amount of improvement to overcome our two obviously in front of him. ONE cqan hope for higher than expected trade thus bennefitting our beloved STEELERS.

Would those "GENERIC" first round picks be good on the day after the draft.......Draft, you know the one................ where TEAMS can change their minds and draft different players and then if those players are successful they can then put them on their roster................... yeah, that draft........................

While we’re swimming in the hypothetical situations pond what if every time the Steelers had a non losing season we were awarded the first overall pick for our consistent play? Also ALL free agents that leave the Steelers should result in them being awarded a first round compensatory pick!

What? Those don’t exist??? Well they do now as we play around in make believe land.

I’ll submit these rule changes at the league office tomorrow as in make believeland I’m now the new commish (double Goodell’s salary Cuz I work twice as hard) and I have abolished the competition committee as they just get in the way of us winning SBs
