Well two QBs are down, likely someone scoops him. I’m sure it will be bal and they will get 5 comp picksrandom timing
he'd be an insurance policy, nothing more.has to be someone on the waiver list before San Francisco.
though, would the 49ers even want him? dude's a train wreck.
Beggers can't be choosers. I would almost guarantee after Jimmy G got hurt he asked for a release.he'd be an insurance policy, nothing more.
He has 4 years in. He's not subject to waivers and became an unrestricted FA as soon as he was cut.has to be someone on the waiver list before San Francisco.

I would take him over Rudolph 6 days and Sunday.Everyone is going to lose their **** but he isn't complete trash. In 2020 he had some real good games. 22/28 297 5/1 in a 37-34 win over Cincy and 25/33 334 4/0 vs Tennessee. He never was the most accurate passer but he definitely regressed after that shoulder injury. I haven't watched any tape this year but last year it looked like he was opening his hips too much trying to use his lower body to increase velocity. In 2020 he used more arm and maybe a push off rather than hip rotation. I think that change in throwing motion was probably to try to save him from arm problems down the line but because of it he started sailing balls. I guess what I am saying is if a good QB coach could get ahold of him you might have an average to slightly above average QB on your hands or at least a top tier backup.
I would take him over Rudolph as well. More film and more of a known commodity. Like I stated he had some "wow" games in 2020 that showed the ability to be a very good NFL QB. He has regressed for sure but the potential was there and seen.I would take him over Rudolph 6 days and Sunday.

He is still as good or better than a number of QBs in the NFL. Probably has at least one more shot to start in the NFL. Could also go the initial Trubisky route of being a high-quality backup on a contender and then seeing where that takes him a year later (he is still pretty young). If he does end up on San Fran, that would provide the real litmus for what he could be next year.
Hard to judge his time in Carolina given what a shitshow Rhule was. Not sure that was a "good" fresh start opportunity for anyone.
