The NFL may wait until the criminal charges are tried. If Blount is innocent of wrong doing as a poster suggested, I'm sure the NFL will give him a stern talking to. Why would Blount be penalized in any way for riding in a car driven by somebody that was high on the boo.
Bell (the douche) on the other hand is charged with possession and DUI of weed. He has to defend himself for both. The article I read doesn't go into detail as to how high he was behind the wheel other than a blood sample was drawn. I'm assuming the levels of THC in the blood determine how spaced out one can be so his lawyer may or may not have an argument for the state to prove the allegation of DUI. As far as possession goes, quantity is the devil in disguise. If the law finds the amount of reefer seized exceeds simple possession, Bell could be indicted with possession with intent to distribute! If this is a first offense he could likely plead down to possession and get probation. Either case the Rog will suspend slapping Bell and maybe Blount at a minimum with the "personal conduct detrimental". The results of Bell's blood test will be the basis of the League Substance Abuse policy when it comes to suspensions.
One thing is for sure, because it is the Steelers, Goodell is guaranteed to **** these guys.
By the way, **** you Ross Twp. cops! You knew who theses guys were, way to make a big name for yourselves. You could have handled this without arresting them t's called "officers discretion". According to the article the cops pulled them up because of "a strong odor of marijuana", didn't mention weaving, driving too slow or other indications of intoxication. Athletes don't deserve a pass anymore than anybody else but for crissakes, the jails are full of dumb *** kids that have done nothing bad in their lives but smoke or possess weed. In this FA King world things are bad enough, jerking off potheads and grinding them up in the criminal justice system is a waste of time and everybody's money doncha think?
