Bell and Blount caught with a... blunt

Dwayne Bowe got one game for possession (hes gonna miss the season opener this year)

Starkey: They should both sit opening day. Really. Nice call. Why are the Steelers supposed to be the standard of virtue. Its friggen weed. Legal in at least two states. They were charges with misdemenour possession. They probably won't even face league discipline (Maybe Blount, he has played long enough to have the secret drug freebie pass). If they continue to not learn then you can talk about severe consequence. You are going to sit them for a opening day divisional game when you play another divisional game in 4 nights. You must win one of those two clearly. And then some of you are like cut them both. STFU. Yeah, cut them and watch Bell run the ball up our *** in say Baltimore for the next five or six years. These two need to be sat down, no question. Dock them a game cheque, sure. If you are really concerned about Bell, sit him down the line. But lets all get down from our white horse here. They smoked weed. So might your neighbor, your kids teacher, your doctor and possibly you.
 
Dumb and dumber. What a ******* novel idea, "let's get stoned together and drive around", just Pouncey, Ben and Antonio Brown were missing in that car to be a complete cluster **** for the offense

yeap me too, but never if I know it will affect my workplace, and this guys get paid millions. They can get stoned up to the stratosphere at their mansions, why the hell go out and screw up?

It's not a matter of higher morale, but of logic and knowing consecuences of their actions

I'm furious - **** them both - we can replace the 500yds each got last year with waiver picks, they ain't nothing special, Bell is looking like another Tomlin bust of a draft pick
 
First off Bell is a second round pick who has probably actually made under a million after taxes. Probably a good townhouse not a mansion for him so far.. Yes they used terrible judgement. So did Irsay, and Bowe and another 20-30 guys in the league. Now I get this being a big story because they were both caught at the same time. But I just don't see any team cutting them both or either for that matter. Give me a break. I don't think the Bell thing will be that hard to deal with. you are a young guy, you haven't made your real money yet. You want to drive around in a Camaro or a Ferrari some day son.

Seems some folks are willing to find some sterile character kid from Princeton or 'Nova with marginal talent for the sake of sayin we have pristine-repped personnel.....

Truth is, the best talent in the league is smokin weed (we just dont know it/know whom)

Pull them over, have them leave their car, give them a warning and drive them to their destination. That's just me.

In any event, people tend to forget that the cars nowadays are equipped with on board cameras. Makes it damn near impossible to cut a guy a break.

You "done" lost your mind Spike.....if we cut either of these cats theyll be snatched up like high class hookers off Pennsylvania Ave in the nations capitol.

Bell couldve been in the running for Offensive ROY had he not missed the first four games (and he wouldve been projected from close to 1100-1200 yrds for the season). Look at what we DID have before LeVeon (Dwyer and Redmon).....neither had the hands to catch out of the backfield. Bell added that dimension as well as his athleticism.

So, to think we could cut him and "pick up waiver fodder" leads me to believe YOURE SMOKIN SOME ****!!! Cuttin either of them is not in the cards..........the owners/GM know better, the coaches know better and the consensus around the league would be "its a mistake to part ways with a young talent with promise, over some herb smoke"

I can think or a lot more things to be harsh with punishment over....weed aint one of em.

so we won the lottery because OUR idiot talent drives around with a smoke trail a mile long billowing out onto the street in broad daylight, and gets caught?

the good news - The paper that can't be Named says Bell and Blount probably face no more than a one-game suspension and that won't come anytime soon
 
I'll tell you another thing. In my world Blount absolutely plays with the starters tonight. I'm not risking my franchise QB's health on something that might not even be handled this years and in many peoples mind is a glorified traffic ticket. There is no other back on the roster with proven NFL experience.

handed down week 15 when our running game is getting in a groove and we're fighting for a playoff spot...
