Bell mvp

this isn't ******* twitter

you got news - supply a link

I don't understand how and why Ben gets screwed not only by the media but his own team as well.

Ben is the most important player for the Steelers and it's not even close.

Everyone else is replaceable including Bell and Brown....they don't handle a candle to Ben.

Ben/Antonio/Bell - all 3 deserved it, but where would Ben be without a running game? not in the playoffs, I suspect

I agree, without Bell right now we'd be screwed. There's no one behind him that can make up the difference. If Bell went down now, Ben would have to throw 40+ times a game (which we don't win when that happens) and takes away probably his 2nd best receiver too in Bell. There's a huge drop off without Bell.

You're assuming that Ben didn't get any votes, I'm positive that's not the case. Also, I'm thinking this type of thinking is what gave him several votes (taken from his facebook page)

Truly a blessing, God has always kept me close to His side...ppl will never understand how much this means to me, that my teammates voted me MVP of the team! crazy part is, I need THEM more than they need ME! I will always put it on the line for the team, & I know they'll do the same...it's truly an honor to be MVP of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the best organization in the National Football League! !‪#‎6BurghStandUp‬ ‪#‎Quest4Seven‬

The team knows Ben is the true MVP but giving it to a young Bell is a nice boost to his confidence. It's acknowledging how valuable his play has been to the team.

right - it's the TEAM voting for their MVP

not some group of sportswriters - ha ha - how can anyone be mad they voted for Bell?

It's not about being mad it's just the fact the whole world knows Ben is the most important player on the roster. He has been for a long time.

Take Bell out and put another RB in there...yes production goes down but Steelers will survive.

Put Gradkowski or Jones back there and were toast...

I'm all for giving the young man a boost confidence but Ben or Heath should get some recognition.

Ben is the single most important player on the field for Steelers by a mile and it's not even close.

It's a good year when any of three players are credible MVP's (Big Ben, Downtown Tony Brown, Cheech).
Ben says he votes for Heath every year.

I'm not angry about it at all but I do shake my head at the fact that Bell is the same guy who smoked weed prior to a team flight...not exactly an MVP type of move. Everyone knows that Ben is the most important player to the Steelers but Bell really has had an amazing season. You cannot go wrong with him, Ben, or AB.

I agree. Ben is far and beyond team MVP. When teams bottle up Bell, Ben still can win the game. Bell _helps_ open things up for Ben, but not to the level of how much value Ben brings to the table. Bell is special, Ben far more special.

What?!?

I am pretty sure everyone knows that Ben is an integral part of the team. The QB position, by default, gets most of the glory on most NFL teams.

But I think youre getting somewhat carried away in your praising of Ben. Last year when we had a steaming pile of sh*t for RB's during the 1st half of last year- how did Ben look then?

Obviously the QB is the most important position, but Ben/Bell/Brown are almost equally important to our success.

Ben can still win the game because he has a WR that is playing like a top 3 WR. Who gets separation, gets at least 5 and 50 a game, is athletic, and has great hands.

Look how bad Luck looked when TY was out last week.

People need to accept that we have 3 viable MVP's.

Well said by both of you.
It is also on Steelers.com. This is a very unusual season to choose a MVP. In addition to the three listed which have been at the top or very close all season there have been lots of other players with significant contributions all season. It could be argued that the team would not be where it is now with out Spaeth, Miller, Johnson, Adams, Wheaton, Bryant, Harrison, Williams, Spence, Timmons, Moats, Kiesel,Tuitt, Gay, and others. I understand the idea of the most valuable but this season maybe more than any other in recent memory has had significant contributions by nearly everyone on the team.

The choice of Cheech also sends a message to Chong we did not need you then we do not need you now. It is a nice honor to bestow on one of the great contributors of this season and hopefully he stays humble and accepts it for what it is a high compliment from his peers.

Sometimes you add by subtracting. When Chong was cut a number of players felt that he was a bad influence on Cheech.

Then all three should co-MVPs

There MUST be something wrong with Ben the person. That is literally the only possible conclusion I can come up with. He ****** threw 6 td's in two straight games. He is the leader of the team. They never won one game when he had a substandard performance and I'd say that was the Rats game, the Saints, Jets, Browns he played more than good enough vs TBay. Every single one of the other 10 he was above the line (Jax) or well above it (the rest). Bell was largely not existent in the run game in wins over the rats, KC, Atl, and Houston in loses he did very little against the Jets and the Rats. Look, I like Bell, but **** why can't Ben get any love once in a while. His career is winding down, he has an amazing year and he even gets shafted by his own teamates. Either he is a better man than me and really doesn't give a **** about any personal accolades or he is seething right now. I'n my mind he was a huge candidate for NFL MVP. How in the hell can you win that if you can't even get your own teams unanimous support. Fucktards.
