So very true in the exact way you are saying it.

I'm not a draft GURU but many here are and I heed what they have to say on how they look at the draft.

I do investigate some players (I like & others point out) and may hang my hat on said player. I'm smart enough to know my limitations but still jump when I feel the need.

slash pointed out TJ WATT very early and I did due diligence and agreed fully and pushed that as well. Coolie has shown some of the UH players and OLIVER comes to mind (along with the "bet"), I pushed Him as well ( Coolie don't need promoting as he is a legend already.....in his own mind when it comes to UH players).

There are many others with great insight here on the draft, love this place and that fact.

So for those of us who are "light" draft enthusists we can learn a lot and hind-sight a little but know what is true by remebering what we thought before the draft VS what we say after the draft and context it that way.

IIRC in the draft day thread many posters point out who they'd get while on the clock, I think I posted I wanted McDuffie (CB), had been pimping him here for a while as part of the 1st round worth corners in the draft (with Gardner, Stingley and Booth) if DT Adams and the top OTs were gone.

Fiji that’s a great idea. Possibly next year we could have the Justin or the Mods facilitate this. Maybe even a contest for most correct selections? Participation would be phenomenal. Although Coach wouldn't be able to participate, because his back to the future modus-operandi.

Would’ve taken Dean with Davis off the board…a bit of a reach in hindsight due to the injury concern I was unaware of. Shocked me he lasted til the 3rd, made sense afterwards given the injury situation.

He just seems to have that if it moves hit it attitude we’ve been lacking in the middle for awhile. Seems like he could bring that intangible that raises the entire level
of the D…reminding me of Patrick Willis just a bit.

In the 2nd my best available was Dean (still there on the board) and Pickens. I was then thinking I guess LB isn’t on our board, hope we grab Pickens (my best available WR at that point).

Can ya tell I’m a huge GA fan lol

I did my picks like this for about a 5-6 year period when I had the time to really know/research about 150 players well. Was quite interesting to see what “my roster” vs the actual roster was looking like.

I did allow myself the trade back scenario and just blindly took whatever picks were given for the next pick that was traded away (assuming I could’ve got that in trade value for the higher pick).

Yeah Litos, totally get that apprehension.

My Bulldog glasses allow me to look past it with him as I’ve seen every down he’s played and he doesn’t play small at all.

If it moves he’ll hit it, and hit it hard. Fast and quick in his ability to read and react.
He would however likely suffer without a big beast (like Davis) in front of him keeping him clean.

Now we get into that part of the process where the fun begins as we actually will soon see how these prospects translate to ballers…followed by the other fun part of mocking each other for our misguided opinions.

Still wish we could’ve somehow acquired Davis in the first…my pipe dream pick.
 
I advocated for Davis as well 1.20 and didn't want any QB regardless unless after 4th rnd.

We got Pickett and I will pull for him hard as I want all STEELERS Players to scucceed. The FO has way more insight than I and I hope that proves out more often then not.

I won a prize, and one day for a correct call and coward wouldn't donate it per my wishes to a needy Steeler family. No name mentioned. He knows who he is and so do I. That was unfortunate. I will continue to post who we should have drafted the day after the drafted all rounds, thank you very much. Bozos like you will forget about it and distort what I said. Ok Dork, quit your crying. The OP for that contest already explained exhaustively numerous times why you didn’t win jack. You can continue to post to your hearts delight with the asinine method you use. No one else does it, so expect the ridicule when it happens. For the record, the internet is everlasting, so nothing you’ve posted is forgotten, unfortunately. So you claiming distortion of your comments, in fact shows you are the clown.

I don’t get your rationalization regarding Kiper. There are dozens of others, including the jokers at Walter Football for which you waste your lunch money for a subscription, who do the exact same thing. The best draft prognosticator was Joel Buchsbaum, (RIP) and pretty much pioneered it all by himself. Also, Mel Kiper probably has more knowledge in his pinky than you will ever know. And, he doesn’t wait until the day after he predicts it to report it! Why? Because he watches games, and All 22 films. You have in the past self admitted you don’t watch games. So your credibility is well below Dora the Explorer.

Why would u cry to me about some contest I didn’t have any part in, I’m sure whoever moderated it was more than justified in whatever they did!

You probably didn’t follow rules and were days late with your picks judging from how you approach the draft process…continue how you do you and we’ll all just continue to mock you after we’ve mocked the draft in a more realistic process.

Not sure how the asshat Kiper fits in as everyone that matters in the process makes the pick while on the clock…just some asshats trying to look smart (and failing) announcing picks after the fact when they have an infinite amount more info to work off of.

And to whoever moderated the contest, thanks for doing what you do and hope I have the time to play if still going on next year.

slashsteel puts on the contest here in this forum. It's the STEELERS game only and you enter final score of the game (a little comentary can acompany).

He sent out prizes to winners and a grand pize to overall champion (all at his expense and time). I stress all on his time as I'm sure he is busy just like all of us.

If you win, slash asks in a PM for your address so he can mail prize.................. pretty simple.

Aluminum cone hat wearer wouldn't give slash his address and made a fuss, finally dictating for slash to send prize to a "needy STEELERS family/fan".

How was slash to determine who needy family was and how about the time and effort to do so even though slash designatd he wouldn't do that as that isn't how the game was played.

CONE head kept being the spastic he is and slash showed great patience................ ONLY to finally have to ban him from the game (good riddence as Cone head was pulling the game down with his pettiness).

Reiterate: It was designated at the start that you would have to provide your address so he could mail winnings, pretty clear for normal folks.

I wouldn't blame slash at all had he just shut down the contest but he is a very patient and good man so he continued and I applaud him for that. Had that happened due to "to big of Aluminum Cone Head" I can't imagine the fall out towards him.

I hope you find the time to join and participate as it's a gas reading the comments and tracking the scores.

NOTE: This to my memory so I hope I've got the details correct.

I am nice to the majority of people in life. All colors shapes and sizes. I am color blind in that aspect. But I have very little use for ignorant twatwaffles.
