Bell suspended

Show me where the Steelers were ranked in the penalties where they celebrated after making a tackle 20 yards down field or for scoring a TD. If they can discipline the team from not holding, false start, pass int,off side and every other penalty(ranked 4th and sounds like a disciplined squad as you stated) why can't they do the same for these stupid penalties? You argue just to argue because I brought forth an area of weakness in Tomlin. That is the only reason you are arguing. You yourself just stated you can teach discipline. Go figure. You prove my point but don't even realize it. Blind faith does that to you sometimes.

Its on the list smh every type of penalty is right there. You are the one trying to prove the coach is soft and that's why Bell is suspended. That's you. How many stupid penalties did they have??? Compared to the whole league how many was it ? You are the one wanting some unrealistic fantasy of players not getting stupid penalties. And last I checked there is no penalty for getting a tackle 20 yards down the field and I can remember two penalties last year for excessive celebration. One by Brown and one by Gay when someone danced with him. But by all means it was every week like you say..

LOL. Right. The spin doctor himself. And it wasn't ALL penalties. You just brought that in ....it is the STUPID ones. Really don't think there is a "stupid penalty" site where I can go and collect the info. i could be wrong though.

Yes its a type of penalty that would be in the list I posted

Look under stupid penalties

He's the ******* coach! If he'd have dealt with this **** properly the first time there wouldn't be a second, third, fourth, 80th ******* time.

We have a leadership void, starting at the head coach position. It is obvious. Anyone who doesn't see it, hasn't had much life experience.

Tomlin sucks at laying down the law, anticipating and heading off problems. Big Tuna, Jimmy Johnson or Belichick would not allow these reoccurring problems to continue.

I believe some of our players made up for it in the past but they are slowly all retiring. Miller was the last one.

If it was a simple fix no team would be called for it. The NFL wouldn't have a rule for it. Football is an emotional game and players sometime go over the line. Head coaches are very hesitant to try and temper that emotion because how are you going to win a emotional game with out emotion. So coaches pick their battles.

And again we were the 4 least penalized team. Sounds like a disciplined squad to me.. But that's just me though

Yea, real disciplined when 2 of their 3 biggest play makers are suspended for being baked. Real, real disciplined. Well run team, head coach. But those shades are cool and you swing a mean headset cord.

But all teams have issues like this so Tomlin's good.

Or we can just go with the examples POP posted..the tuna had a coke head at LB who was the main player innhis success. What stand did he take with LT. Jimmy Johnson do you not know about the mansion Dallas players chipped in and bought for the lavish drug parties they had. Belicheat oh ok no problem he's just a ******* cheater but yeah they are great examples

Interesting. I have never kept track of penalties before but the links provided got me started.

Here are the number of 15-yard MAJOR-type penalties the Steelers have committed the last 4 seasons. These include roughing, unsportsmanlike conduct, personal foul, etc.

2012 - 10 penalties (+2 declined/off-setting)
2013 - 15 penalties (+0)
2014 - 30 penalties (+4)
2015 - 29 penalties (+5)

So the number of major infractions by the Steelers that last couple of seasons has taken a dramatic turn for the worse even if the technical penalties have gone down (which is a good thing).

I will continue to go back as far as the website I'm using allows (I think only to 2009)....

No I got it. So other coaches has issues with players so Tomlin can. No need to try to correct a flaw. Also read deljz little stat list.

So how many were stupid penalties ie celebration penalties. Even though I would include some unnecessary roughness calls and roughing the passer as stupid but that's a slippery slope

A friend of mine just texted me that he read the NFL gave Bell a test date. He responded back that the date didn't work for him but he was willing to reschedule a date. The NFL never got back to him....hence they viewed it as a missed test.

If that's how you want to spin it go right ahead cause I didn't introduce any of those coaches into the conversation you and Pop did..correct??

And Tuna successfully managed a very wild player in LT. Some how, he was able to keep him in line enough to win two rings. Same with Johnson in Dallas; they may have been a wild bunch but he someone managed them enough to win two rings as well.

Tomlin is failing to manage his trouble players. He doesn't provide discipline and that is why we have two of our biggest play makers not on the field to start the season. Super. Nice job. Way to go.

Do you not recall any of the celebrating penalties? Really? One is to many. As disciplined as we are it should be an easy fix....but I guess why worry about them. Other teams have them also. Well here is a thought. If every and all teams do them then if we as the lone team in the NFL could/would cut them out ....well wouldn't this give us an edge that no other team has? Maybe squeeze one xtra win out in a season because of it. Nah....forget about it.

This is too dumb to even respond to you win.

And I already said I believe we had two celebration penalties that I recall. Neither which came remotely close to impacting the game
