Benny snail won’t make the team

Rolmao. Snell won’t sniff the hall of fame. Well see how he does on Sunday. Another 3.3 yards per carry performance and I can guess who will be on his lap in this forum.

I won't be on his lap, because I am not the person who thinks they can determine a player's entire career trajectory before they've even sniffed a season on a 53 man roster. That is your MO, making absolute predictions before any possible knowledge can be gained to make said prediction with a fair rational behind it.

All for the purpose of spouting on years later about how you were right about these 3 players everytime you post, and pretending the other 100 players you were absolutely wrong about never happened.

Like I've said before, you're all about taking giant whiffs of your own farts, it shows in the majority of your posts, and it becomes insufferable to everyone else

That's how he did it for daddy, blind as a bat.

Well if some can't take the facts or my point of view, that's just too bad. Skip my posts and don't try to call me out your you'll get a reply like this:

In other related news one pick I didn't like last year is in danger of being cut. A slow safety who made next to zero plays on the ball in college. Marcus Allen. Didn't like the Hawkings pick either. Wasted draft picks. Who called it? We shall see who Tomlin keeps, my gut says one of as good as gone, and other other one will follow.

I think Snell could be the 4th best back on the team right now, but because he's a 4th round pick, will likely make the team. I'm not sure if Edumunds is better. Based on what I saw in the pre-season you could say as a runner he is.

If it makes you feel better I think Benny Snail can add something to special teams.

Way to immediately follow up by proving my point

FRACK DAT!!! 60 Days!!! If Snell makes the 53 - he ought to be gone for 60 for spewing garbage!!!

Compromise gentleman........ 53 days of exile for the loser if he does or does not make the 53 man roster. Vegas can handle the over/under details.

All those in favour say :ban1::ban1:

You missed mine. I'm rather good at calling out bad Steeler draft picks, I see your new. A summary for you. I hated the following picks: Sweed, Hood, Jones, Archer, Mendenall, and Archer just to name a few. Well Mendy wasn't all that bad, but he likely cost us a super bowl with that fumble.

Now for my point, the worst thing to do is bump my post if you can't stand them, because I might reply,. I'm generally too busy not the weekdays for back and forth stuff.

And while I'm at it I didn't like the Chucks pick either. How he's doing right now? :) I do say plenty of positive things on rookie draft picks. I liked the Buggs pick a lot.

coach,

i know that you do not understand criticism, or humor, but what he is telling you is that you are a self smug asshat that is unable to understand why you offend almost all you communicate with on this forum.

Maybe you could change from being the ******** in every thread?

If he actually looked, he'd see you've been here longer than he has. Coach, once again is:

Thanks for the keen insight, Coach. I'll withhold judgement till we see more - much more - of Snell in games before patting myself on the back on what a brilliant sage I am predicting his success - or lack thereof - in the NFL.

SNell Is more than likely than not, to make the TEM. Who would you have instead? The Edmunds kid might be a selection but..................

If they ever have a slow 40 or he percieves them as slow they are draft busts in his mind. He has a long dislike list so eventually one will bust. Then it is hey everyone I hated that pick! Can you believe that low round pick was a bust? Walter Foot er coach would have picked Joe blow after seeing that he performed well. A real American genius.

Trey Edmunds has flashed some nice RB skills, good developmental back. Ya gotta keep the Edmund brothers together, good for team chemistry. Find a spot for him on the practice squad.

Benny Snell Jr. has already shown decent short yardage skills, can lower his shoulder, get tough yards. Last I checked, that's still part of the game, nursing a lead late in games or down on the goal line. I love the idea of Connor & Snell wearing down defenses, we'll see how much PT Snell gets as the games go on. Who cares if he's not Usain Bolt? Snell can play special teams, he's 21 years old, a 4th round pick. Scored 48 TD's in 39 games at Kentucky. There's no doubt he'll be on the team. Whoever's thinking the Steelers cut him is chugging turpentine.

He doesn't have to be fast Jaysam, JC, and the WRs can get you your chunk yardage.

I don't remember anyone disliking the sweed pick.

Coach uses stats he doesn't understand. Edmunds got his "better" stats against weaker opponents.

Game 1. First carry. 11 min left in the 3rd quarter.

Rushes of 3, 2, 13, 0, 1

5 rushes 3.8 ypc!! Way better than snells 2ypc! Well, if you only look at the ending stat.

Snell had some negative yard carries, some 2-3 yard carries a couple of 4 yard carries and a 5 yard carry. Not much, by any definition. Against the same talent that Edmunds was ripping of those incredible #'s, snail had a 20 yd reception.

Game 2. Edmunds ripped off 8 yds on 4 carries. Again, snail doesn't overwhelm. First carry is with less than 5 min in the 3rd. He does get a couple of short yardage 1st downs, though.

To think that Edmunds has shown more than snail is almost as stupid as you hanging on to the "I told you golson was too small to hold up in the NFL and he'd be injury prone" BS.

We ain't one of Steeltime's juries that will believe any line of bull ****.

We are still waiting for you to provide factual response to the Bush selection. Are you going to ignore it? Who are you giving credit for him being on this roster?

In other related news....you predicted wrong on two first rd picks THIS year, and was so wrong about Matt Thomas you can’t bring yourself to admit it, yet you pound away about a 5th round SS from a couple years ago.

You “predicted” Hawkins?......now that’s some vintage Coach BS there. Considering the kid has been injured each year in training camp before 2019. He may not make the roster, but that’s because he’s gotten behind other players who have been available and performed. He hasn’t had the opportunities to catch up. May be PS capable if he isn’t traded.

You can't judge Snell on speed. He's a power back. I said it in the draft thread and I'll say it again... he's the guy you bring in to seal a game and run the clock out when you are ahead. The problem I see is that the Steelers drafted him for that but will they use him for that? I've been a little surprised at how easily he goes down. But he's still new to the competition. I would be shocked if he were cut so soon.

i like the old school mentality but i think those days are gone.
there are 31 other teams in the league and im not sure i can recall any one of them bringing in a 3rd string, rookie rb to seal off a game.
i think there is a better chance that they drafted him for depth, development and a potential replacement for conner if he gets hurt or produces so well that he demands big money the next year or 2i too dont see him getting cut for the above reasons PLUS he hasnt been given a fair shot PLUS he was a 4th round pick(dont want to admit you were wrong)

he's still trying to determine who we should have brought in at TE or OT instead of Jayrone Elliott. give him time. I'm sure Cooch won't duck another flub on his part.
