cut Scho and offer 2 years / 8M avg, 10M guaranteed. He can get cut next season if production falls and save some cap space

Minkah would have to make All Pro the next 6 years straight just to tie Wagner's 8 in 10 years , not happening

Wagner just came off an All Pro year where he had a career high 170 tackles more than Bush and Shoebert combined . Sign him.up.

You feel very familiar, like I've argued with you before...

No **** Wagner has more tackles, they run a 4-3 system, which funnels tackles to the MLB, or have you never seen the Baltimore Ravens defense play?

Too busy watching Pats games I'd think...

FYI Minkah only had 14 less tackles than Wagner's career average per season, and no one funnels tackles to a free safety.

He was a great player. Still is a good player. Would love to have him on the Steelers. Would be a instant upgrade. But would not have as much of an impact as Mincah does
 
Minkah made a ton of tackles down field after they broke free from our pitiful LBers. Minkah also missed a ton of tackles. Wagner is the better player today. Of course as he ages Minkah will be the better player but put Wagner on this team and we are immediately a much better defense.

Not arguing his quality, but that the expense would be too high on a declining player. I would have been more than happy to have gotten him 6 years ago, when he was still on the rise.
 
We payed 10 million for Schoebert. Wagner will be better for the same money or less.

I would restructure Shoebert then bring Wagner in and let the three of them fight it out for the two starts. We could open the door and thank Spillane for his service while we are at it.

Just makes me think back to 2002 James Farrior, may have been one of the best FA acquisitions at LB and he was 27 years old... 3 year deal something like 5.5 million and a 1.6 million signing bonus.

Lol ,dunce. Wagner was already the best LB in the league after 4 years. Minkah is a good but not great player. In his prime there is no argument on who was the better player. Hell, even now Wagner was the better player.
