Brady retiring

Caught cheating and punished for it. Then the league destroyed the evidence.

2007 Spygate scandal

New England signal-stealing was discovered during a 2007 regular-season game against the Jets. Video assistant Matt Estrella's camera and film were seized by NFL security staff, and the team admitted to wrongdoing that week. Further investigation by the NFL revealed handwritten diagrams of Steelers defensive signals at New England headquarters, which according to ESPN included notes used in the 2001 AFC championship game, won by the Patriots, 24-17.

The NFL docked Belichick the maximum amount under NFL bylaws ($50,000), fined the Patriots organization $250,000 and took away a 2008 first-round draft pick. No one was suspended.

I'm not a troll and that burden of proof isn't on me.
Actually, there is no "burden of proof". This isn't a civil or criminal court; it's a ******* fan forum. That fact aside, there are reams of proof in the form of articles, statements, and punishments given to the Pats*** contemporaneous to their infractions becoming public knowledge and after.

You are a pats fan. They don't fine and take away draft picks for playing fair meatball. Your team cheated and was caught deal with it!

So wait… you chose to join up today, exactly when Brady retired… not when ben did or colbert did… sounds like a pats fan to me…
Sure did. Came right in with his Brady pats bs..lol. Real clever...duh
Maybe read a little and you'd see that I was posting here prior to this Brady announcement.

If the definition of troll is "the unwillingness to peddle unproven lies", then I guess I might be guilty.

Kind of pathetic if true ain't it?
Probably would be pathetic if true.

I do find it amusing that my acknowledging Brady's career in a positive light and not pushing unsubstantiated libel on a public forum, that somehow makes me a "troll". lol

Are you able to share your proof of this?
Yes use the sites search feature. If you are incapable you will have to window lick on down the road. Are all cheatriot fans as slow as you?

I don't care what you are but Brady and the pats organization are proven cheaters that even got punished for it, twice right? Thrice with the bungles last season iirc

madinsomniac

Could you provide the names of these "enough people who have alluded to it"? Also, could you provide a link where I can read up on how the NFL investigated and reached the conclusion that it was more probable than not that TB used PEDs? Thanks again for providing these citations.
quit being a lazy Pats fan and look it up your self

He knows very well what they did. He is just upset ol girl is hanging up the deflated footballs and riding off into the sunset. What a sweet day for Steelers fans. Grab a Dr. Pepper it is a sweet one!

Long before 2007 there was evidence of their cheating … sorry if most of us who have written books worth of posts on this throughout the years dont want to rehash all the minute every time someone want to try to defend those shitfuckers… its old. Its settled.. they cheated as bad or worse than any pro sports team in history.

I didn't realize we were talking about Tomlin's game plan?
That doesn't even make sense. You suck at trolling. Cheatriot fans are hilarious 😂.

Google patriot championships.

I just did and this is the first article that came up (nothing about them cheating, btw):

.. this day also marks the 20th anniversary of the Patriots’ first AFC championship win under Belichick. That game was a classic picture of the early dynasty days. The Patriots were 10-point underdogs, but their defense smothered Pittsburgh’s MVP candidate — yes, Kordell Stewart finished fourth in MVP voting that year, his lone Pro Bowl season — and suffocated their most dangerous player in Jerome Bettis. (Bettis rushed for eight yards on nine carries.) The Patriots got two touchdowns from special teams — one on a Troy Brown punt return, the other on a blocked field goal that featured a Brown lateral to Antwan Harris. (Brown caught eight passes for 121 yards, in addition to his special teams heroics.) And they got a touchdown pass from Drew Bledsoe, who was thrust into action for the first time since absorbing the Mo Lewis hit on Sept. 23. (Tom Brady had been taken out by a low, dirty hit by Lee Flowers.)

The day ended with Patriots players waving their own versions of Terrible Towels and shouting that they would gladly take the Steelers’ hotel reservations off their hands for the upcoming Super Bowl week in New Orleans, as Belichick no doubt used the Steelers’ plans as motivation for his team to pull off the upset on the road.
