What do they do with Trey Lance? Purdy threw for 332 and 3 touchdowns with no picks in a playoff game. They might have gotten the steal of the draft. Makes me wonder if Lance doesn’t hit the trading block this offseason.

They will probably keep him. Teams are actually allowed to keep depth on their roster. Especially with Jimmy G. exiting.

In other news Pickett>Rudy the red nosed third stringer.

I now return you to your normal QB driven agenda.

I think they let it play out next year before making a move. I was looking forward to seeing what Lance could do but as each year goes by it feels less likely he’ll get his chance.

The performance yesterday makes me think Purdy will be given every chance to start with Lance there but not winning the job. The rumor mill is that is how the talking heads anticipate it unfolding.

Oh before I forget if yinz want the seeds out of the tomato place the stem on top then roll the tomato to the right. Cut one cut in said tomato. Using a tea spoon you can gut the seeds out with keeping the majority of the tomato in tact. Then rinse and cut into slices and you can then add it to whatever. Makes it nice for those recipes that call for tomatoes, not watering down the dish in the process.

I wouldn't put lance in the trade block per se, but if someone comes asking with a first round pick and some change to offer I would probably take it.

Not sure why they would offer a first for the guy. He has shown little to nothing. When you are uninspiring with that stocked team that should send alarms out to whoever is potentially interested.

Then I'd just keep him and wait as maybe he develops after the injuries and or Purdy becomes just a one year wonder.

Yeah one more win and he is going to be the sure starter, maybe even already. They won't trade Lance. He will backup. What i see in Purdy is that he has an average arm and makes good decisions. He didn't just manage that game in fact he was throwing passes into areas of the field I wish the Steelers would go. That said, he has a great line, great weapons across the board and defense who can flip the game at any moment. Whether they win a championship now is tough to say. There usually comes a point in the playoffs when you need better than the really good QB play across the field. not sure if he is ready for that, but maybe good enough.

Yeah I saw some throws I thought had the ability to be intercepted. I definitely think his arm strength is iffy. But his timing, scrambling ability, perhaps release seem to be good.

Trey Lance basically played one year at North Dakota State throwing 287 passes with 66% completion, he did throw something like 28 TDs with no interceptions. That was 2019. He threw one pass in 2018 and played one game in 2020.

Since then he has been ineffective and injured. Lance has minimal experience and success. It was a bold and questionable move by the 49ers moving up and picking him third. If they start him next season over Purdy they will be attempting to justify that trade up. Purdy's Cinderella story could end in the next few weeks but I believe it's his job to lose via injury or poor play next season.

Oven is the only way to cook bacon.

Although OVEN baked is VERY good and my preferred, but I can make some pretty ****-ing good cast IRON camp BACON.

So never say never.

Our guys made the mistake of holding Rudolf to long and we got nothing. Once Pickett was drafted that phone horn should have been active in getting something out of Rudolf.

Interesting comments. “ he’s shown little to nothing “. Not that I’m an expert on Lance. Didn’t know you were. Especially since you write him off after he started 2 games in his rookie year.

And one game the past season before being injured in his second game after one quarter.

His rookie year he replaced jimmy g during a game for his first action. 9-18 157 yds 2td 0 int. 41 yds running

Then started his first game. 15-29 0 TD 1 int. 89 yards running.

Then injured. Did not play for 10 weeks.
First game back went 16-23 249 yards 2 TD 1 int. 31 yds running.

Jimmy G then came back after his injury for the rest of the year.

So he’s appeared in limited parts of 6 whole games.

Yet you are ready to write him off. It’s funny considering we certainly preach patience with our own #1 QB.
