Purdy looks like a lil kid.
I read a great article on Purdy after his first start. Apparently, after the combine he hired a QB guru and the guru literally changed everything about Purdy from the ground up. Taught him NFL level footwork, remade his body and made him re-learn how to throw...added 5mph to his throw...and on and on.
Well, it worked. The kid looks brilliant so far.
I am really not worried about cutting our huge project we drafted in the 7th round. I am not sure what the Steelers or the Chiefs saw from him. There's not a lot of tape but even his highlights aren't impressive. I guess he has a NFL caliber arm but it wouldn't be like Josh Allen elite type or anything.
First play is a poorly thrown ball that the WR makes a nice adjustment and catch on. Second play the ball is underthrown. Third play the guy is WIDE open in the middle but has to do a 360 to turn and catch the ball throw behind him to catch. Play four the receiver catches the ball off his shoelaces. Play 5 I wish I could see more of the field because it looks like he is throwing it at the DB. Play 6 is a bubble screen and the receiver does all the work. Play 7 he does a nice job avoiding pressure... from Sacramento State. etc
I’m
I’m not worried about losing Oladokun either
Simply showing the poor asset management that is common place with the Steelers
•Keep guys you you have zero intention of using and could get a pick for
•spend the higher cap total on said player you have zero intention of using
•waste late round pick on guy you have zero intention of using
Just standard roster construction around here…piss away picks and cap space then wonder why we have zero depth and a depleted talent level
Hmmm, maybe KP can go to that camp this offseason. He already has a good arm but if this group can turn it to elite and help with some perhaps quicker decisions and releases it could vastly improve his sophomore year.![]()

The 49ers’ new starting QB was considered undraftable, but he reinvented himself for the NFL in ways no one had considered.www.si.com
First into the windYou make this complicated as all along I just thought they were “Pissing in the wind”
Salute the nation

LmaoPurdy should have been drafted instead of Oladakun.
And the elephant in the room for this post:
The league will make Mr. Irrelevant relevant by naming Purdy Rookie of the Year over Pickett.
No worries Stryker, I never take it personal unless it obviously isNot picking on you Fiji,
I just think it's funny how most fan bases lament their 1st round selections, yet this fanbase laments 7th rounders. It's pretty funny and a testament to how well we draft.
