Broderick Jones is being traded to the Cowboys

For me the injury is the reason why they finally traded him, aided by Max Nacho's preseason.
Broderick is not only coming back from a delicate injury, he lost weight in the process too, can he get the eye of the tiger back? If not for the injury there would still be plenty of hope for him

For sure I wouldn't go all in after having a spine surgery, I doubt he can ever recover fully. Hope he does though

I liked Jones a lot coming out of college.

But when he played this preseason he did NOT look anything like that guy. All the reports said he was underweight, lost a good notch of what mediocre strength he had (that was an area he needed to IMPROVE on coming out of college at only age 21), didn't trust the healing process in his neck, and looked poor in his footwork/fundementals.

I think we got lucky to find anyone that wanted him at all. And for all we know he will be an available free agent next year if we want him back after his 2026 year to rehab more (that would be free of charge). I mean, I doubt Dallas signs him to an extension and if he does play himself into shape and playing time, if I was Jones I would test free agency regardless of what Dallas offered.

I really see no downside to the trade for us.

Does anyone know if he passed the physical yet? Is this a done deal?

You'd think Dallas would have learned by now that the Khan Man always steals their lunch money.

Shottenheimer was talking him up a ton.. interestingly he specifically said he had to be retrained on a ton of bad Techniques... that Pat Meyers BS he taught everyone was crap to most schemes.. so perhaps our staff figured it wasnt worth retraining a guy who almost certainly was leaving after the season at a position they had two other first rounders at...

And he was coming off a pretty severe injury. I wish him luck. Just not against us.🙂

I think that is Chicago. Dallas has done well in recent trades with us
Receipts.... show us the receipts!!!!!!!😠

I had read that as well, Shottenheimer said he needed to be retrained on some technique (how I interpreted it)

It was a direct slam towards the Steelers or the college he came from.

In any event, Our Coaching Staff didn’t appear to do Broderic any favors.
