Cam Heyward wants a new deal

I guess I’m kinda looking long game

GP already admittedly came out and said he forced his way out, but he wasn’t considered a team leader by any stretch of the imagination.

Cam is/was a damn team captain acting like a hypocritical fool and tryna hold the team hostage.

Im just wondering how many L’s the FO is looking to stack up in an offseason. They just keep looking weaker and weaker…weaker yet if they cave to Cam.

Can’t get a solid free agent to WANT to come here, have to make trades and overpay to replace guys that forced their way out (with lateral moves).

Have to trade away defensive assets for aging problem players.

The only free agents that come in are guys on their last leg, or fringe role players.

Sadly, not a desired destination and it is known around the league despite the Mike allegedly being a players’ coach. Khan certainly has his work cut out for him. It’s going to take some miraculous drafts to restock the cupboard. At least there should be a good amount of assets going into next year’s restock attempt…and who knows maybe Aaron can miracle a streak breaker on his way out of the league.
Compared to team leaders of past years.....I never considered Cam a real team leader. They set things straight in the locker room. Cam loves to voice his thoughts to the media. Simply not a true real team leader. I throw Watt in there also. He simply doesn't voice any leadership. He has stated he likes to lead on the field. The team lacks a true leader of the lockerroom. For years now. At one point we hand probably to many. We were winning SBs at that point though. Cam has zero clue how to be a true lockerroom leader as the players that were there when he was drafted. Sad he couldn't pick anything up of what a true leader is.

I dont disagree with one word of this. All Im saying is there is the theoretical world and there is the practical one. I wouldn't want to make the call.
